Cervelo RCA Frameset
Madison: 0208 385 3385
Hand made in California, Cervélo’s latest frameset – the RCA – draws on S-series aerodynamics and the stiffness of the R5ca to offer the best of both worlds.
Claiming to provide aerodynamic savings of 7.4 watts over the current R-series (over 100 kilojoules over a 5-hour stage) and up to 10.2 watts less drag than typical road bikes, the new RCA will soon be available in limited numbers.
Using their Concurrent Aero and Structural Engineering (CASE) approach, Cervélo brought its Toronto and California teams together in a cross-disciplinary process with the goal to maximise the structural and aerodynamic performance of the final design. Utilising in-house F1 engineering design tools - (CAD, FEA, CFD), Cervélo was able to virtually test all aspects of frame performance. The RCA also features the cycling-world debut of new technologies such as 3M Powerlux Composite, which allows reduced weight for equal strength, and Integran/PowerMetal Nanovate, enabling a safe, secure fork with the unbelievable weight of 300g with an uncut steerer.
With just 325 to be produced for worldwide distribution, Madison dealers should get their orders in early to secure stock.

Dare2b AEP line
Raleigh: 01773 532600
Dare 2b’s new range of Advanced Ergonomic Performance (AEP) gear is designed in collaboration with 2006 Tour de France Winner Oscar Pereiro.
With a design brief to provide optimum comfort, the garment’s carry an articulated cut, strategically placed shaped seams, grippers and panels, which combine to mould the garment to the shape of the rider’s body.
Having travelled to Manchester to give direct input on the design of the range, Pereiro said: “What I  like about the garments the most is the design – it’s kind of retro and fits to the body, the material is good, the truth is, I believe we’ve taken a quantum leap forward.”

Shimano Deore 610
Madison: 0208 385 3385
Deore relaunches with simplicity in mind. Shimano wanted to create a groupset and brake set that was easy to service for both the bike shop and home mechanic, all while ensuring the new gear benefits from the trickledown features of its higher end counterparts where possible.
The drivetrain combines adopted technologies from ‘big brothers’ XT and SLX, including Shadow RD+ for more control and a silent drivetrain.
Deore is available in several new gearing options including a double crankset. Shimano’s Dyna-Sys compact triple crankset for bigger wheel sizes is also compatible.
The brakes have been upgraded, with compatibility with Shimano’s Ice rotors and brake pads added. To handle all this power, Deore has a short stroke Servo Wave mechanism and a two-finger ergonomic lever.
Deore’s hubs now offer an improved torque rotation, resulting in a more efficient pedal stroke. New 15mm E-thru front and 12mm rear hubs are to be stocked alongside standard QR hubs.

Velocite tubeless carbon clinchers
Red Cloud: 01938 810873
Velocite has revealed its first foray into wheelsets with a tubeless carbon clincher wheelset, which are in stock now.
Some numbers first, the pair will cost £1,499 and weigh in at 1,630 grams, minus the tubeless kit. The rim profile is 50mm deep and 23mm wide, resulting in a ‘symmetrical airfoil shape’ when the tyre is installed
The RT50 rims are finished in 3k carbon fibre in order to obtain a smoother finish and to save weight.
The resin system used in the wheel’s construction is what is commonly referred to as “high Tg” or high glass transition temperature. In the case of thermoset resins this measurement denotes the temperature at which the resin starts degrading and failing. As established during Velocite’s machine testing the Tg for the RT50 wheelset is 192.8 degrees, so very little chance of failure unless you plan on a cycling trip to Venus or Mercury.
The RT50 rims are clear coated in a matte finish and the decals used and shown in the pictures are both removable and reflective.

Endura

Direct: 01506 497749
Endura has released a full-length version of its Eurobike Award-winning MT500 Spray Baggy with the introduction of the trouser.
Combining the best of waterproofing and breathability, the four-way stretch softshell fabric provides a perfect solution for rides where the conditions may be unpredictable.
To keep you dry where it matters, the trouser carries a waterproof seat panel with seam-sealed back-rise and seat seams. A DWR finish on the remaining panels provides water resistance in light and moderate showers.
Velcro side waist adjusters and rear waist elastic aid fit, while ankle zips with gusset and snap down pullers ensure that the rider can pull them on and off without having to remove shoes.
The MT500 Spray Trousers are also Endura Clickfast compatible so a matching liner short with seat pad can be easily 'clipped' in and out.

Vaude Triset luggage
01665 510660

Though having been on the market since 2005, Vaude has this year given the Triset range an overhaul and one that took the UK market’s unique needs into consideration.
All of the Trisets therefore have a full padded wrap-around hip belt making the load more comfortable to carry, as well as longer back lengths than you would normally see on a day pack, so that load can be carried on the hips. A new conical shape (that is wider at the opening than the base) makes the Triset easier to pack, and a three-side zip around pocket makes bulkier items such as cameras easier to access.
A tough, abrasion resistant Polyester PU coated fabric and a rain hood complete the package. The line begins at just £44 for a 15-litre capacity pack and spans price points including £63, 69 and £77 for the 35 litre expandable pack.

BioLogic iPhone5 ‘Mount Plus’
Paligap: 01454 313116

BioLogic is to release the Bike Mount Plus, a hard-shell, weatherproof case for the iPhone 5. BioLogic already produces mounts for earlier iPhones, as well as other smartphones.
The Mount Plus is different, because it channels sound from the phone through the case, which will useful for navigation apps which give verbal instructions, such as the Bike Hub cycle satnav app.
The Bike Mount Plus allows access to phone features, including the touchscreen, speakerphone, cameras, charge port, and headphones. Channels in the silicone liner redirect audio to the front of the case so the speakerphone mode can be used without removing the iPhone from the case.
A heavy-duty mounting bracket secures the case to handlebars and locks to the case via a screw-down latch. The bracket rotates 360° allowing use of the phone in portrait or landscape modes.
