DLA Piper has promoted 34 lawyers to the firm’s partnership globally, down 40 per cent from the 58 promotions made last year.
Broken down by practice area, the litigation and regulatory group saw the most promotions with nine partners made up, followed by finance and projects and intellectual property and technology groups both of which had six promotions.
DLA global co-chairman Tony Angel said: "The talent at DLA Piper is exceptional and we are very pleased to welcome these accomplished lawyers to the partnership. As we continue to work towards our goal of being the leading global business law firm the new partners will play a key role in providing the best possible service to our clients across the world."
