Services are returning to normal at the Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital in Sheet Harbour following a fire in the electrical panel last weekend.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says inpatients were moved back into the hospital Friday evening, and the emergency department re-opened at midnight.

Power will be shut off for two hours Sunday morning as crews finish repairing the damage to the elctrical panel.

Officials say the electrical services room and surrounding hallway will remain closed while cleaning is completed, and the cafeteria is expected to remain closed until at least end of day Tuesday.

All other services will resume as normal following the holiday weekend.
