The province has released a $645 million capital plan for the 2016-17 budget year.
It includes roughly $481 million for roads, schools, health care and public infrastructure and $164 million for the Halifax Convention Centre.
The plan includes $220 million for roads, $82 million for new schools and school renovations and $26.5 million for hospital improvements and equipment purchases .
The money for hospitals includes $1.5 million for planning around the relocation of services from the aging Victoria General hospital site in Halifax.
Locally, the plan includes money for a new Bible Hill P-4 school, a new P-12 school for Tatamagouche, the Aberdeen Hospital ER expansion & pharmacy redevelopment, justice centre security systems upgrades, a new Transportation & Infrastructure Renewal base to replace the Noel & Rawdon bases, and paving work on Highway 104, Routes 204 and 215 and Trunk 4.
