We live in a hyper-connected world. There are more services to keep in touch with somebody than you can count on your fingers. Thus, keeping a track of your special someone is getting harder as the world makes your phone beep with notifications every other minute. But there are ways which can keep you and your loved one in the loop. Here are a few suggestions:
* Subscribe to their Notifications on Social Networks
If your partner is active on social networks, you don't want to miss out on their status updates, shares or retweets in the constantly changing activity stream. In Facebook, simply go to his or her profile and click 'Get Notifications' in the drop-down menu titled 'Friends'. Now, whenever he or she posts on Facebook, you'll be alerted.
Similarly, the official Twitter apps for Smartphones allow to 'Turn on Notifications' for a particular user. Once done, whenever that user tweets, you get a notification right away.
* Share Locations While Travelling to meet each other
If you're in a relationship, you know the uncountable number of times when you are typing out your location to the other person, especially when you're keeping him or her waiting. Apps like Glympse allow temporary sharing of your current location with others. That way, a simple view of the map will exactly show how far you are from your dear one. It supports most of the popular Smartphone Operating Systems like iOS, Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry
* Use Apps That Are Made for Two
Avocado is an app made for the two of you. You can have one-one-one instant messaging conversations. The good thing about this is, when you get a notification from Avocado, you'll know who it is from. You can also have to-do lists just between you two, which is great when shopping for groceries and more. The Calendar function can show what he or she is up to. You can also have private photo albums and other cutesy stuff using Avocado. If you don't like Avocado, there are alternative apps like 'Between' or 'Couple'.
* Self-Destructing Photo Apps
Certain photos are worthy of creating a picture frame. Certain others, maybe not. Interesting apps like SnapChat allow you to send photos to other SnapChat users and in the famous Mission-Impossible movie style, those photos get self-destructed in a few seconds. So get creative with this interesting app, if you catch my drift!
