Are you trying to use the BHIM app, but it isn’t working? Well you are not alone.

With an aim of promoting a cashless economy, the government has been hard at work to introduce various initiatives. One such launch is the rebranded Unified Payments Interface (UPI) app, which is now called ‘BHIM’ or Bharat Interface for Money. But proving yet again, how far off we are from being a truly cashless society, the BHIM app has been plagued with issues less than 24 hours since launch.

Dear All, due to high server loads we are facing intermittent issues. We are updating a new version on the playstore to solve this. Pls RT.

People have been facing issues with setting up the app. On Twitter, people have been complaining about receiving four digits OTP, whereas the app requires six digit codes to gets services started. People have also been facing issues in regards to Account invalid error, error fetching bank account to name a few. The app is developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and is available for Android smartphones via Google Play Store. It enables its users to make all forms of cashless payments using various digital modes, including debit/credit cards, unstructured supplementary service data (USSD), unified payments interface (UPI) and Aadhaar-enabled payment system (AEPS).
