The Democratic Action Party has been in the media headlines recently after the party announced it will collaborate with Parti Pribumi Malaysia, headed by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who was once a fierce critic of the opposition party.

In response to this, three state assemblymen and an MP from the state of Melaka decided to quit the party last month. UMNO leaders claim this is“a manifestation of internal problems and crisis of confidence in the opposition party.”

Today on Current Affairs, we ask - how will the DAP fare at the coming general elections in the wake of these defections? Or will the cooperation between Lim Kit Siang and Tun Mahathir help DAP to achieve its main goal of creating a "Malaysian Malaysia?"

This is a report by Wan Irdina.
