I'm a little late posting about this weeks Sunday night beauty product. Every Sunday evening I try to have a little me time and pamper myself with some at home beauty treatments. Skin care is very important to me so this ritual typically includes so sort of facial treatment. Most recently I had the opportunity to try a new type of clay face mask. Clayspray is the world's first clay emulsion in a spray form. The Clayspray Collection features both a white and red clay masque in a unique spray formula.
Key benefits of the Clay:
Removes impurities and environmental toxins;
Replenishes skin with minerals to help prevent aging;
Silica to boost collagen, calcium to promote healthy cell regeneration, potassium to help lock in moisture and iron & magnesium to activate circulation and encourage healing for an overall anti-ageing effect.
Benefits of the packaging:
Portable cylinder featuring a unique dual chamber within an air-tight compartment;
The clay remains isolated from the air propellant keeping the clay fresh;
Special dispensing mechanism designed to ensure the clay does not dry or clog the pump;
The clay remains hygienic, fresh and easy to use from the first to the last facial.
Both red and white clay provide very important skincare benefits including antiseptic and exfoliative properties that help to balance the skin’s flora and interact with its microorganisms, thus aiding cell rejuvenation. They promote deep cleansing, removing environmental toxins and neutralize the toxic effect of free radicals. Each type contains its own variety of minerals: the white clay contains potassium, calcium and silica for moisturizing and anti-aging benefits whilst the red clay contains iron and magnesium to activate the circulation and encourage healing.
My thoughts:
I have sensitive skin that is combination oily. At the moment it is also a bit congested, especially in the cheek and forehead area. With the current cold weather I also have some dry areas so the mattifying red clay is the formula I have been using.
First although different, I like that this clay masque sprays as opposed to me having to scoop it out of a jar. A pet peeve of mine when using masques from a jar or even a pouch is I always end up with gunk under my fingernails. Prior to application of the clay you lightly mist your face with the mineral water spray. This masque sprays out of the can in a nice thick foam, think the old fashion thick white shaving cream you may have seen your father use. The spray foam application really cuts out the mess of a typical face Masque. I sprayed a nice size amount into my hand and applied to my face.
I was surprised at how quickly this mask began to dry. Once dry it did not feel tight or uncomfortable on my face. The mask rinsed off fairly easily with lukewarm water and a soft cloth.
I was very pleased with the results of the red clay. There was a noticeable difference in my skin after the very first use, The Clayspray masque did a good job at controlling my oil without leaving my skin felling dry or stripped. My pores seemed less noticeable and were not as congested. I also like to use the mineral water spray during the week after my normal cleansing routine. I imagine I will be using this mineral water spray quite a bit in the warmer months also as a way to re-hydrate my skin during the day.
What do you think of the clayspray? Does this look like a product you would try, I would love to hear your thoughts.
