BCMG Board Meets Tomorrow, Thu, Apr 9th

The monthly meeting of the BCMG Board of Directors will take place 4-6pm on Thu, Apr 9 at 3355 Cherry Ridge Street, San Antonio. All members are welcome to observe the meetings; however, in order to accommodate seating, please email the President, Barbara Lutz, that you will be attending.

State Tomato Trial at the Verstuyft’s Farm — Details on MG Calendar!

Plenty of help is needed starting at 8:30 am till about noon with planting the State’s oldest tomato trials at the Verstuyft’s Farm, 14819 Interstate 35 Access Rd, Von Ormy, TX 78073.  To get to the farm, drive on 35S towards Laredo and exit 1604. Stay on the access road until you get to the stop sign. Stay on the access road, pass the stop sign, convenient store and fireworks stand. The farm is just on the right side. Email David Rodriguez, if you are able to participate. Bring some gloves, appropriate work shoes and your favorite garden hoe (otherwise some available).

Strawberry Harvesting

WHERE: San Antonio Botanical Garden, 555 Funston Place, San Antonio, TX 78209

INFO: Should take about two hours, if enough MGs volunteer at the Children’s Vegetable Garden Program (backside of the SABOT) for the Texas Strawberry Project. Alamo Ranch Community Landscape Fair — Details on MG Calendar!

WHEN: Thu, Apr 16,  9am-Noon

INFO: Need 2 volunteers to staff the MG table and answer residents’ gardening questions and hand out various gardening and water conservation flyers.
