Euro 2016 Predictions For The Groups

Let’s start with who we think will win the groups and progress to the knockout stages of the competition!

Group A Winners (France)

Although France didn’t need to qualify for the Euro’s because they’re the host nation, when you look at their squad you cannot see them losing to anyone in their group. They have some exciting individuals and when it comes to tournaments they always seem to produce good performances.

Group B Winners (England)

England are the only team to have a 100% record coming into the group stages, which is quite impressive even when on paper it looked a relatively easy group. Who knows, if we can get Kane, Vardy, Rooney & lets not forget Sturridge firing on all cylinders we may even have a chance of coming home with the European Cup

Group C Winners (Germany)

Germany is always a team to keep an eye on in any footballing tournament, and this one is no different. When you look at teams that have had success on the big stage, one thing you’ll find that they all have in common, is that the spine of the team has tremendous strength and Germany have that in abundance, from the goalkeeper right through to the striker they have a solid spine. Which is why they have had so much success in European and World football tournaments.

Group D Winners (Spain)

Spain like England have impressed during the qualification process, they have won 9/10 games, their only loss came in the 2-1 defeat against Slovakia. They have some talented players who have the ability to change a game in an instant, and with the experience of the likes of Iniesta, Fabregas, Silva & Busquets in the midfield, strikers will definitely get opportunities to score.

Group E Winners (Belgium)

Belgium throughout qualification have proven that not only are they difficult to breakdown and to beat, but they are also exciting going forward too. When you look at their squad you can see why, from front to back they have some exciting players, majority of them either play or have played in the English Premier League. Which is one of the reasons that they are a good bet as the team with a good outside chance of winning Euro 2016.

Group F Winners (Portugal)

Portugal, now we all know why you can never disregard them as potential winners of this tournament, and it’s due to the fact that they have three time world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo playing for them. We all know that it’s not all about one player, but imagine this, you’re a goalkeeper, it’s 0-0 and in the 88th minute the ball breaks on the halfway line and you see a player bearing down on you in a one on one situation, who’s the player that you wouldn’t want it to be? ☺

If you were to place an accumulator bet on these teams to win their respective groups, your return on a £20 bet would be £466.80. The best odds were with Sky Bet, which were 23.34/1. Place this bet with Skybet.

Belgium – Best Value To Win Euro 2016

Whenever you hear fans talking about who’s going to win Euro 2016, the obvious teams that are mentioned are the likes of Germany, Spain, France and even the odd delusional fan would say that England have a good chance too.

Personally I think Belgium have a great chance, which is why we have chosen to tip them as potential winners in our Euro 2016 predictions. When you look at their squad, you can see straight away that they have an abundance of talented players throughout. They have players that have experience in playing in the World Cup, Champions League, UEFA Cup and also teams challenging for domestic titles in various countries too, so I think people would be foolish to disregard them as a contender to win Euro 2016. The best odds for Belgium to win outright are 11/1 for existing customers with Paddy Power.

However, if you are a new customer you can get a massive 40/1 with Paddy Power. Register with Paddy Power here.

Other teams that have an outside chance of winning are:

Croatia: Best odds with Bet365 25/1

England: Best odds with Skybet 9/1

Italy: Best odds with Paddy Power 18/1

Portugal: Best odds with William Hill 20/1

Outright Winner Prediction For The Euro’s

My Euro 2016 prediction for the overall winner of the competition is Germany, they are definitely a team designed for the World and European stage.
