Already done putting together your brand new Konstruktor camera? There's one more DIY project you may want to do: a nifty macro converter that will allow you to go REALLY close to the objects of your lomographic desire. If you think you can get your hands on a 3D printer, maybe you should give this cool accessory a go!
It’s great to see people finding ways to use the best of technology to support the analogue lifestyle, like Shane Blomberg or ComradeQuiche on Thingiverse. Utilizing the wonders of digital design and 3D printing, the New York City industrial designer has done downloadable designs for 620 film spool (for use with medium format films), balanced strap lugs for a vintage Russian stereo camera, and the latest, a macro converter for the Konstruktor camera.

The macro converter, while a simple lens tube extension, promises to “allow you to focus on objects much closer than with the standard Konstruktor setup.” According to the inventor, the nifty accessory will enable the Konstruktor to “focus in on an object which is (at the closest) 80mm (3.14”) away from the front of the camera lens."
