The insane growth of the US new car market is coming to a shocking halt in September: sales are down 4% year-on-year to 1,139,050 registrations, however the year-to-date total is still up by a very healthy 8% on 2012 at 11,786,536 units. In pole position, the Ford F-Series goes against the market to brilliantly gain 10% on September 2012 at 60,456 sales, while the Chevrolet Silverado, even though it regains its traditional 2nd spot, is down 11% to 32,506 units just above the Toyota Camry at 31,871 sales (-7%).

Dodge RAM

Excellent performance of the Dodge RAM up 3 spots on August to #4 at 28,145 units (+8%), the model’s highest monthly ranking in the US since December 2007! The Toyota Corolla, helped by the new generation now in dealerships, passes the Honda Civic to top its segment at #6 with 23,251 sales, the Ford Fusion is up 62% to #11, the Toyota RAV4 up one further rank to #14, the Ford Explorer up 12 to #16 and the Subaru Forester up 75% year-on-year at #30.
