After over 6 months without models data, thanks to Myk I can share with you today the 100 most popular vehicles in the Philippines for June. CAMPI reported a record 87,226 sales for the carmakers they cover after 6 months in 2013, up 20% on 2012 and including 28,035 Passenger Cars, up 28% year-on-year.

AVID did not report data but if we replicate the 20% increase to the market overall we come to 106,400 registrations halfway through 2013, the first time ever the Filipino new car market is above 100,000 units after 6 months! Toyota is by far the most popular brand with 34,713 sales, followed by Mitsubishi at 21,282 units.

Model-wise, Toyota confirms its domination by placing 3 models on the June podium (and 6 in the Top 10): the Toyota Vios leads the way as usual with 1,497 sales, followed by the Innova at 1,166 and the Fortuner at 1,023. The Mitsubishi Montero Sport is down one spot on its traditional third position to #4 at 1,017 units. Good showing of the Isuzu Crosswind at #5, but the big difference with the last time we had access to Filipino models ranking is the Mitsubishi Mirage up to a fantastic 6th place and #2 Passenger Car thanks to 664 sales.
