TOP STORY: Sevilla want Rashford loan
It would be one of the more surprising moves of the window, but the Sun reports that Sevilla are "desperate" to take Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United.
The Red Devils youngster has seen plenty of game time this term, though Zlatan Ibrahimovic"s form means there are only so many starts as a centre-forward available under Jose Mourinho this season.
Rashford, 19, has shown another side to his game recently by proving effective from the left wing, and Sevilla -- and West Ham too -- would be prepared to make him the focal point of their attack.

21.54 GMT:Aston Villa defender Aly Cissokho has arrived in Greece to finalise his loan move to Olympiakos, according to Sky Sports. He is expected to remain with the Greek champions for the rest of the 2016-17 season.
21.26 GMT:The rumour mill is quiet at present, but Sky Sports reportsthat one deal is getting closer to completion. That"s right,Arsenal defenderCarl Jenkinsoncould be on his way toSelhurst Park to join forces with Crystal Palace andSam Allardyce, who he played under at West Ham two seasons ago.
21.02 GMT:Former England captain Alan Shearer has had his say on Chelsea"sDiego Costaconundrum.
"He will dictate the situation. The players have the vast majority of the power. If the player does not want to be there, he will go," said Shearer on the BBC"s MOTD2 Extra.
"It depends how bad an apple he becomes. If it affects the dressing room, you have to get rid."
20.30 GMT: Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka is certainly not ruling out the possibility of a return to the Riverside for Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford, with the Northern Echo quoting him as saying: "With Patrick it"s always the same -- when he left the club I told him that the doors will always be open for him."
19.45 GMT: New Crystal Palace signing Jeffrey Schlupp has said he believes he has made a good decision to join the Eagles despite their current Premier League struggles, describing the decision as "a no-brainer."
19.40 GMT: Championship club Birmingham City are interested in Virtus Entella defender Cheick Keita, according to reports in Italy. Scouts from the club, managed by Gianfranco Zola, are reported to have watched the player in action.
18.40 GMT: Everton manager Ronald Koeman"s side were mightily impressive at home to Manchester City on Sunday -- but speaking afterwards, the Dutchman stressed that he still wanted to shake things up in the January window.
"We like to change and everybody knows that," he said. "There are a big expectations at Everton and after today, it is a really great performance and we need to enjoy that. But it"s a project that started in July and will not finish today."
18.36 GMT: Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has said he believes the spending power of Chinese Super League clubs is "frightening."
He told BBC radio: "For a player like Diego Costa, if I"m going to put myself in his shoes I"m going to say: "I"ve come from Brazil. I have been around Europe and I"m at Chelsea now. And I have got this Chinese team offering me this. From the favelas to something like this is incredible." So for him, I don"t think he would think twice."
18.06 GMT: Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has told the German FA (DFB) website he feels "very comfortable in London" after being named Germany"s Player of the Year for the fifth time.
Former Werder Bremen and Real Madrid star Ozil, 28, took 54.5 percent of the 316,850 votes to finish comfortably ahead of Toni Kroos, who received 33.9 percent.

17.39 GMT: Mesut Ozil has still yet to sign a new contract with Arsenal, but could his latest comments suggest he is close to penning an extension with the club? "Since last season I have arrived in the Premier League," he told the German Football Association"s official website. "I have stayed largely free of injury and I also feel very comfortable in London now as well."
17.19 GMT: Joe Hart -- currently on loan at Torino from manchester city -- says he does not know what the future holds for him, but more will become clear at the end of the season. "I"m contracted to Manchester City, the rest you will understand this summer, full stop," Hart told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Now I"m in Torino and I think of Torino."
17.01 GMT: Is Gerard Pique"s time at Barcelona coming to an end? His partner and pop star Shakira sure hopes so, Don Balon says. Shakira apparently wants Pique to quit Spain, where he has courted plenty of controversy due to his outspoken nature, and head to Chelsea or Arsenal in London.
16.46 GMT: Another update for you on West Ham"s unsettled midfielder Dimitri Payet... According to PA Sport, he is expected to report for training as usual on Monday despite requesting to leave the club and refusing to play for them. Payet, however, will not be training with the first-team squad.
16.28 GMT: Galatasaray sporting director Levent Nazifoglu says Lukas Podolski will be staying at the Turkish club after a Chinese side -- reported to be Beijing Guoan -- dropped their interest in the forward. "The interest from China is no longer there," he said. "Podolski is our player and continues to be."
Barcelona are hoping Lionel Messi will sign a new contract with the club.
16.11 GMT: With Barcelona still attempting to tie down Lionel Messi to a new contract, El Confidencial is reporting that the Spanish club may have to sell in order to fund the Argentine"s deal. Arda Turan could be the man to be sacrificed, with the newspaper claiming a 30 million offer from China may come in for the midfielder.
15.49 GMT: West Ham"s search for a new striker appears to be drawing to an end, so says The Sun. The newspaper claims the Hammers will tie up a 15 million transfer for Brentford"s Scott Hogan, and will look to add further reinforcements going forward.
15.31 GMT: Norwich City defender Martin Olsson is poised to complete a move to Swansea City on Monday and has undergone a medical at the Welsh club, the Eastern Daily Press has reported.
14.41 GMT: The Dimitri Payet situation has become one of the dominant narratives of this transfer window, and the Evening Standard has added to the mix by reporting that West Ham "are increasingly minded" to sell him this month.
With Marseille reported to be holding talks over a move to bring their former star back, the London paper says "recent days have seen the club look more favourably on the prospect" of selling him.
It says "West Ham fans" furious reaction to Payet"s refusal to ever play for the club again... served to suggest that there is no way back for him."
14.19 GMT: Southampton defender Jose Fonte has been mooted as a Liverpool target - but he will not be moving to Merseyside in January, Sky Sports reports. It says sources have said Liverpool are not interested in bringing the centre-back to Anfield.
14.00 GMT: Birmingham City, still without a win under new manager Gianfranco Zola, are being linked with a move for Derby midfielder Johnny Russell, the Birmingham Mail reports.
13.50 GMT: Marseille president Jacques-Henri Eyraud will hold talks with West Ham about a potential move for Dimitri Payet, Sky Sports reports. Marseille are reported to have already had a bid of around 20 million for Payet turned down, with the player having said he will not play for West Ham again.

13.15 GMT: Manchester United"s Henrikh Mkhitaryan has said he came close to joining Liverpool from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013.
As United prepare to take on Liverpool later on Sunday, the paper reported that he had spoken to then-Anfield manager Brendan Rodgers before opting to join current boss Jurgen Klopp at Dortmund instead.
12.22 GMT: Could Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi be on his way back to France? The Mirror believes he could, saying Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move.
The former Marseille player, who joined the Blues from Marseille for 33.2million, has yet to start a Premier League game, and the Mirror says Antonio Conte "will consider offers if he can bring in a replacement this month."

However, according to the Daily Mirror, that stance has changed, with the Hammers looking for a fee of 35 million for the Frenchman after deciding that they would be better off cashing in and re-investing the money in new players.

09.51 GMT: Jose Mourinho wants a reunion with Nemanja Matic, the Daily Mirror claims. The Manchester United boss is apparently hoping to bring his former Chelsea player to Old Trafford in the summer, believing him to be an ideal fit for the holding role alongside Ander Herrera.
09.42 GMT: Jurgen Klopp has insisted English football"s preoccupation with the need for transfers will not force Liverpool"s hand in the January window. "English football is especially obsessed with transfers," he said. "We are always looking for the right players, not just somebody -- that"s the most important information." Story here.
09.15 GMT: Paris Saint-Germain director of football Patrick Kluivert has cast doubt on whether the French champions will sign a striker before the end of this month, saying: "If there is not a player we feel will improve the squad, then we will not buy them." Story here.
08.49 GMT: The Sunday Express suggests Chelsea will look to sign Thomas Muller for 75 million if Diego Costa leaves. The Germany international has struggled for goals in recent times, but it"s hard to imagine Bayern Munich cashing in on their homegrown star.
Costa going nowhere
Diego Costa"s whirlwind 24 hours saw him reportedly row with Antonio Conte and his medical staff amid reports of a mega offer from the Chinese Super League, before Chelsea earned a thumping 3-0 victory without him against Leicester. And now the Star reports that he won"t be moving to China this month.
Many of the Sunday papers ran with a similar theme -- that the 30 million-a-year offer, after tax, from Tianjin Quanjian is largely academic because Chelsea will not entertain the idea of selling their prized forward.
Conte managed to mastermind a second 3-0 win in the space of a few weeks without his talisman after beating Bournemouth on Boxing Day, and senior players are believed to have begun attempts to persuade the 28-year-old to stay and fire the Blues to the title.
City to prise Davies away from Spurs
Manchester City are keen on Tottenham left-back Ben Davies, with The Sunsaying a 20m offer is being readied for the 23-year-old.
The former Swansea star"s versatility, having featured as a centre-back for Wales, has attracted Pep Guardiola.
And with Danny Rose having a firm grip on the left-back spot, Spurs might be tempted to cash in on a squad player with City desperate for players to fill their homegrown quota.
Reds to raid Saints again
In their now-annual shopping trip to the south coast, Liverpool will look to sign Jose Fonte from Southampton, the Mirrorreports.
The Portuguese defender is upset by the Saints" reluctance to offer him the contract extension he wants, and Jurgen Klopp is ready to give the Euro 2016 winner an escape route.
The sweetener for Saints could be Mamadou Sakho in return in a move that could satisfy all concerned.
Tap-ins
- Real Madrid have won the race for "the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic," with Marca reporting that AIK"s super talent Alexander Isak will sign for Los Merengues.
Zinedine Zidane welcomed the 17-year-old Swedish striker to Valdebebas in November last year and a deal will be finalised within the next week to leave Juventus, Bayern Munich and Chelsea disappointed.
- West Ham have turned to Burnley"s Andre Gray to solve their striking concerns, with the Mirror saying a 15m bid will be maded to the Clarets.
Having seen Brentford dig in their heels on the fee required for Scott Hogan and Sunderland rebuff attempts to bring Jermain Defoe back to East London, the Hammers will now focus on Gray.
