eNom Inc., an ICANN accredited wholesale registrar, announced on Wednesday it has entered into a strategic partnership with the web hosting and cloud storage provider DreamHost.
As part of the agreement, DreamHost will be able to take advantage of the eNom reseller platform to manage its existing domain name business and the new gTLDs as they become available. Besides, eNom will provide its clients with the access to DreamHost web hosting services including virtual private servers, dedicated server and cloud hosting.
The partnership of the 2 companies represents their continued dedication to the launch of new gTLDs this year, which will give rise to the release of new domain extensions in a few months. To support the release, eNom will begin to promote DreamHost servers through its retail business by Oct. 1, 2013.
According to Simon Anderson, the CEO at DreamHost, the new gTLD domain name extensions, including .web, .shop and .ninja, will be good opportunities for businesses to build new brands and web channels.
Earlier in July, more than 5,000 trademark owners registered under the Trademark Clearinghouse with the purpose to protect their brands in the gTLD program.

More than 8,800 resellers have registered 14 million domain names on this platform," said Chris Sheridan, vice president of Business Development at eNom.
