Happy Friday BestFans! We’re doing a cool new segment for Fresh Music Friday on the first Friday of every month to showcase our featured artist. Super excited that we got a chance to interview Lydia while they were in Toronto recently.
Lydia just released their latest album Run Wild in September and we got to chat with them at their Toronto tour date of the Run Wild tour at the Mod Club.
The Arizona indie rock band was originally formed in 2003 by Leighton Antelman along with a different group of band mates and released three albums. They also headlined their first tour in 2008 in support of their album Illuminate. This year marks the 10 year anniversary of the band’s very first album This December; It’s One More and I’m Free and to celebrate the album has been pressed on vinyl for the first time via Bad Timing Records.
We had an awesome time at the show and I loved the atmosphere they created on the stage! The backdrop was covered with a bunch of tiny lights which looked like stars and they had some pretty cool lamps too! Here’s a pic from the band’s instagram:
I have listened to Run Wild on repeat wayyyy too many times and still enjoy listening to it! So if you’re looking for some new music I highly recommend you check out this band! Their album is available on iTunes here.
