Swedish R&B, electronic and indie band Little Dragon is kicking off their tour in a very special location- none other than Toronto itself, and you still have time to buy tickets!

The group will be performing at the Kool Haus on May 10, before moving on to 13 other locations including Chicago, Miami, Texas, Atlanta and New York, where the tickets are already sold out!

I don’t know about you guys, but the fact that the Dragon’s have chosen Toronto out of all other possible cities is making me feel like returning the favour of sharing with you a little slice as to why this is too cool.

The group consists of Yukimi Nagano (lead singer) Erik Bodin (drums) Fredrik Wallin (bass) and Kakan Wirenstrand (keyboard) and who have all been already very active in the music industry.

They began working together in the ‘90s and have slowly established themselves from what began as a hidden underground treasure to a now internationally known band. They’ve been on The Queen Latifah Show, and even had their soundtrack used on TV Show Grey’s Anatomy!

The sultry, rich voice of Nagano is incredibly soulful, yet it’s paired with an electronic background in most of their music, creating a unique musical experience for the listener.

Their mix of sounds and musical styles makes it difficult to classify them in any particular genre, but perhaps that’s why they’re doing so well. Little Dragons is their own genre; they don’t follow what’s mainstream or what’s expected, and they certainly don’t follow the rules.

If you don’t have time to make a last-minute schedule change and make it out to the Dragon’s concert, you still have something to look forward to: they will be releasing their fourth album, Nabuma-Rubberband May 13.

The album, which features already released singles “Klapp Klapp”, “Paris” and “Let Go” is available for pre-order on their website, just in case your excitement is getting the better of you!

Check out their website here: http://www.nabumarubberband.com, and listen to some of their tracks below, and hopefully you will have the same corny epiphany that the Little Dragon’s aren’t so little anymore; they’ve got quite the roar!
