When we see a logo for a well-known brand, we automatically associate it with its product or service. These logos are well known because they are simple and stand out from the rest. With LED light technology that has been put into place today, businesses will be sure to stand out even more so than they did before. Here’s a look at two of the most known products and LED logos that are out there today and how to make your LED logo memorable as well.

The McDonald’s Arches

First created by Jim Schindler in 1962, the Golden Arches have become an international symbol for McDonald’s. Whenever passersby’s see this logo – french fries, hamburgers, and shakes always come into mind. The logo is a resembled design of the original arches that were part of the first McDonald’s restaurants in the past. The “M” arches stand for the McDonald’s name but also look like four french fries put to together to create the symbol.

Since the arch logo has been created, only slight variations have been made to the design. Once, the McDonald’s name was paired up with the arches but has since been dropped because of the automatic association with the arches that connects the public to the brand. But the material and design for the arches has certainly changed. McDonald’s restaurants such as the one in Cary, North Carolina, are beginning to go greener with LED lightening in place of fluorescent lights.

Shell

As soon as you see the giant yellow and red shell logo of this company, you know you’re approaching a gas station. Known for their energy and petroleum products and services, this brand is synonymous amongst other brands. As a means to reduce their carbon foot prints and to be aware of the environment, in 2009 Shell began their green innovation and in 2011 began to replace their current lighting with LED. Standing out more than ever before, it’s hard to miss a Shell station with LED lights when you drive by it at night.

Importance of a Logo for Your Business

When it comes to deciding upon installing a LED logo for your company, there are many things to consider. To begin is it worth it for your business to install a personalized sign for your business? Many business owners believe so because it is a different way for your business to stand out among your competition and LED lights are greener than traditional lighting systems.

Some successful and well-known business LED signs are just a symbol with no name included. Depending on how well-known your business and product or service is to the community, you may or may not consider including your name in the logo. Think about including an ongoing deal or something unique about your business such as how many customers you have served or if you are the first business of your kind in the area.

LED logos are all about the design. Take into consideration a background color that will not clash with the colors of your main logo. Create or hire someone to design several font and layout ideas for you to choose from to find the perfect LED logo. Select any words you want to emphasize more than others and make sure the design is clear and easy to see up-close and from a distance.
