As you all know, there’s a few things I am passionate about. They include (in no apparent order and not mutually exclusive):

A while ago I had the opportunity to try a home grocery delivery service that does all three. It’s called Donate Naturally, and I want to tell you about it.
DonateNaturally.com is an online retailer of healthy and organic foods, personal and household products, and supplements. They sell just about everything that you might want – from eggs to milk, cereal to laundry detergent, multi-vitamins to personal and beauty care. Everything they sell is good for you and your family to consume and use. They only sell ‘mom approved’ trusted brands, and don’t sell any products with harmful chemicals or toxins. They even have a No/No list with all the harmful chemicals and toxins that they look out for.
All that sound good? What’s the catch? What makes them special? How about this? When you order, they make a donation in the amount of 10% of the value of your purchase to the organization of your choice. Whether it’s your child’s school or a registered charity, you choose, they send the money. Here’s a list of organizations they’ve made donations to.
And…If that’s not good enough, your order is delivered right to your front door (sometimes by their cute little trucks, and sometimes by Canada Post. And, they also offer weekly glass bottle milk delivery in Ontario. That’s cool. )
Donate Naturally ships across Canada. Customers in the areas listed below (basically GTA) can also order perishable food items (my kids swear that the organic milk in the glass bottle tastes better.) Plus, orders within Ontario always ship for FREE (outside Ontario there’s a nominal $10 delivery charge on orders under $100).

So, how did this site come about? Where did founder Jasmin come up with the idea? Well, just like you, she wanted to offer her family healthy products and foods She also was searching for a more effective way to fundraise that standard bake sales that were a lot of work with low returns. As she says in her personal note on the website:

I definitely think you should give Donate Naturally a try. The prices are good, and the altruism even better. Imagine shopping that both makes you feel good AND gives back. Personally, I’m so down with that. The box came the next day after I ordered, and everything inside was fresh and delicious.
