It’s my most favorite event of the fall…The 2013 Parade of Homes. Last Night the husband and I enjoyed the Charity Preview Party which gave us a first peak into this years 8 homes before the general public get to see them.
I love looking inside homes and based on the popularity of HGTV it would seem so do a lot of people! This event is the perfect way to get inspired for home redecorating and remodels! My husband gets nervous every year we go because I comeback with a million design ideas I NEED TO DO ASAP to my house! Although I have yet to complete even one project I never have a lack of ideas for them.
At this event The Home Builders Association of Central New York presents 8 homes, built and fully decorated that show off the latest in floor plans, designs and services. Each home is built and decorated by different members of the association and highlight the attention to detail and professionalism that are engrained in their construction and service members. This years show did NOT disappoint!
Here is a sampling of a few of the homes from the outside! The show is open to the public daily September 7th-22nd.
I always come away with a few to MANY favorites! This year in no particular order were these:
I love the open floor plan of this home by Konrad Builders. It had a really industrial feel. I can see people looking for a modern city feel in the country going ga-ga for this home! It was also a refreshing change-up from the normally traditional homes that are featured at the event.
LOVED this stained glass window office accent in the Martin Custom Home! It was unexpected but perfect.
I liked this accent wall and open floor in the Mark Antony Custom Home.
These unique built ins added a great touch of drama to the living room in the Harrington Home:
Oh and let’s talk about this movie room…I seriously would NEVER leave!
I also LOVED the colors in the Sciuga Home. Sadly my pictures of this home didn’t come out the best, this photo is from (Syracuse.com) The blues and green sold me!
