... it seems as though you all had a little fun with this months random recipes meets alphabakes.  It has been so lovely after my month off to come back to so many enthusiastic entries for which i'd like to thank you all and of course my generous co-hosts for this challenge, Caroline and Ros... it also reminded me how much I love this challenge and just how many cook books and authors there are out there... it's an undiscovered country my friends and it's great that we can go exploring together.  So without further ado I give you the letter A...

first off the mark we have lovely Karen from Lavender and Lovage with this rather tasty looking Apple and Blackberry Pie made by her mother (i'm sure that's some form of slave labour...) and taken from the interestingly titled Radiation Cookery Book

see the rest of your amazing entries after the jump...

next is Anne from Anne's Kitchen with her Aubergine Puree or Baba Ganoush as it's more commonly known, randomly selected from Just Like Mother Used to Make by Tom Norrington Davies

god i'm hungry... and of course last but by no means least, ending nearly where we started, here's my other co-host Ros from The More Than occasional Baker with a glorious Apple and Blackberry Crumble randomly selected from British Baking by Peyton and Byrne
