HI there cuties!!!! So happy to be back on the Bella blog to share a bit of what we have been up to over at Illustrated Faith!!!

1. Bright & Brave: Write Your Story

I was so excited to see how the team would use the Bright & Brave line so when I saw this BEAUTIFUL post from Bailey, I jump right in!!!

Here is a sneak from her article:

“I wrote my first book at six years old. I’m pretty sure it was called “Miss BumbleBee’s Great Adventure” where my stuffed bumblebee was the star of the story. From an early age I had a love for story telling, beautiful phrases, and happily ever afters. I wrote my second book in the sixth grade with my best friend, and we spent hours agonizing over character names, plot twists, and creating the perfect guys for our leading ladies. Those 116 pages still sit safely in their place on my desk, a reminder of that heart dream of mine.

Somewhere along the way, I started trying to write my own story. I made a plan, mapped out my timeline, and even wrote down a list of features I wanted to find in my future love. All that was left was to tie it up with a bow and hand it to God. See? I’d done all the hard work and came up with a great plan. Now all He had to do was make it happen, right?”

2. Seek Him & Pray

Andrea’s videos are always SURE to bring a BIG OLE SMILE to your face!!! You will want to check out how she is using the Bright & Brave collection in her pocket pages!!!

Here is a sneak from her article:

“Hey crafty friends! I am so excited to share a fun and colorful pocket page layout today using the new Bright and Brave collection!

My inspiration for this page is from this meme about looking for answers in the fridge. It’s so funny and just super relatable. We’re all just looking for answers, right?!

I had the meme saved in my “box of items to use in my personal album” and once I thumbed through the papers and cardstock stickers from Bright and Brave I just knew it was the perfect combination to remind myself where the answers are. James 1:5 is one of the verses that Stephanie Buice refers to in the September Devotional Kit and I really thought it was a great verse for this topic. It talks about seeking wisdom from God and that He gives it to whoever asks. I love that God is always there when I reach for Him. I am still His child and if He doesn’t think I’m ready for the answer then He may not hand it over. Patience is also something I can work on! “

3. What I’ve Learned in 2 Years of Illustrating My Faith

Reflection & flip through videos are some of my FAVES and this one from Natalie does not let down!!!

Here is a sneak from her article:

“Here we are celebrating Illustrated Faith’s 2nd birthday and I couldn’t be more excited! What a journey it’s already been, and so much more is promised to come! I count myself extremely blessed to have watched this story unfold before me and to be a part of the experience, but even better than that is the fact that I can say I’ve been illustrating my faith for nearly as long and this Journaling Bible of mine is getting rather chunky! There are pages and pages of entries in it – some simple, some complex, some experimental, some fun, some heartbreaking, some arty, and some are just word based. Some are taken from hymns, some are taken from sermons. Some are about my children, and some are even by my children. And through it all I’ve learned a lot about my God, my Lord and Savior and my Helper Holy Spirit. I’ve also learned a lot about myself and my art/craft and what it means to be a bible-journaler.”

4. Made For More, So Rise | Book and Music Mish Mash

When Heather brings it she brings it big!!!! I always love when she is inspired because that inspiration is sure to reach far beyond herself!

Here is a sneak from her article:

“Do you ever have one of those mornings where God is trying to talk to you and you’re so busy that you’re not hearing Him? God’s been telling me to get out of this funk for awhile and get back to the me He created me to be. I’m a huge fan of personal and professional development books and a friend has been trying to get me to read Lysa Terkeurst’s book, Made to Crave. I adore Lysa and I feel like she’s always talking directly to me. This book is about craving God more than food or whatever your vice is. As a foodie, I’ve been really obsessed with food and the nutritional value it is. It’s become an unhealthy obsession and become a major source of focus. Last year, I lost 30lbs and keeping it off and watching my diet has become something I never wanted it to become, a major source of my focus. So when my friend recommended this book, I knew this was something I needed to read. I’d been ignoring it for a long time, but something made me pick it up to start reading.”
