Welcome to "What's New Wednesday"! Every Wednesday, our designers will be sharing projects using the latest and greatest products from Bella Blvd. Especially our newest collections, which our designers are having so much fun creating with!

“Stay Curious”, by Jen Chesnick.

I recently picked up this star punch and knew I had to incorporate it into a Lucky Starz project. I first punched rows of stars then went back through and punched them out in circles. I used foam dots to pop them up on swiss-dot cardstock. Using white cardstock under the stars I think broke up all the pattern paper going on. I love the way it turned out.

Supplies:
Lucky Starz: Punch Starz, Bell Pepper Starz, Gulf Starz, Pickle Starz, Candid Cards, Treasures & Text, Trinkets

“Snaggle Tooth”, by Kelly Holbrook.

To add interest to my white background, I used a chevron punch on white textured cardstock, and arranged the punched out pieces in a pattern. I started at the top, and then the bottom to meet in the middle. Although, I ended up liking the look of leaving part of the middle section bare. I then spattered it with black ink, before arranging my elements on my page.

Supplies:
Max: Master of Disguise, That's My Boy, Shark Attack, Paper Pieces, Treasures & Text; Lucky Starz: Ice Starz, Surf & Turf Starz; Ciao Chip: Stars & Hearts; Sienna Chipboard Alphabet: Ice; Designer Tape: Yellow Chevron, Orange Stripe

“You + Me” card, by Kathy Martin.

I’m seeing stars! Bella Blvd’s Lucky Starz that is! Ooh la la feast your eyes on these gorgeous and rich colors! And stars that go with just about any occasion from Father’s Day (All Star Dad) and Graduation (All Star Grad) to Fourth of July! I combined these Lucky Starz papers with a couple accents from the family forever collection to make a celebratory anniversary card.

Supplies:
Lucky Starz: Surf N Turf Starz, Pickle Juice Starz, Saltwater Starz, Bell Pepper Starz, McIntosh Starz, Candid Cards; Family Forever: Paper Pieces, Trinkets

“2 Day” card, by Kathy Martin.

For my second card design I also used the Lucky Starz line, but this time I paired it with accents from the Molly and Max collections to create a completely different color palette. Using the ‘2 Day’ die cut sentiment makes this card work for many different occasions, like birthdays, congratulations and also a note card.

Altered Notebook, by Christine Ousley.

I love making little notebooks for my friends on their birthdays. It's a real quick project and everyone says how much they enjoy getting them. I loved how this one turned out and the birthday girl almost didn't get it. So first I took an ordinary ruled notebook paper pad that I got at the office supply store and covered the top of the notepad with pretty paper from the Molly collection. I wrapped it from the front to the back. Then I cut a solid piece of cardstock about 1/4" taller than the pad and double plus 1/2" the width of the pad.

I scored two lines in the middle so that there would be room for the "spine". Then using double stick adhesive tape, I adhered the pad to the inside of the cardstock piece. Then came the fun part, decorated the outside. I used Sparkle and Shine paper from the Molly collection and die cuts from the Snapshots collection. Cardstock word stickers from Molly gave it just the right inspirational quotes to make every day brighter!

Molly: Sparkle & Shine, Borders, Treasures & Text, Candid Cards, Paper Pieces

"Happy Birthday To You" card, by Christine Ousley.

So of course, I also had to make a birthday card to go with it, so I put together this cute little card, using some of the same supplies. I just love that word paper from the Molly collection. To make it say "Happy Birthday", I also used some cutouts from the Birthday Girl Collection plus a couple of cardstock stickers. I think birthday presents and cards are just as much fun to make as they are to receive!

Supplies:
Molly: Sketch With Style, Treasures & Text, Paper Pieces; Birthday Girl: Cute Cuts
