Belize’s Taye Parkinson and Devesh Hukmani won Belize’s 1st gold medal in the CODICADER Central American U-13 students’ table tennis Doubles at the Belize Elementary Auditorium on Friday July 8th. They won 2-0 against silver medallists Johnny Vasquez and Steven Aguilar of Costa Rica. They had also won over Honduras and Panama.

Parkinson won a 2nd gold in the table tennis singles on Sunday afternoon, winning the final against Panama’s Sebastian Mendoza: 11-4, 11-9. Belize’s table tennis female ranked 5th.

Belize’s female volleyball team won silver at the Orange Walk Multipurpose complex on Saturday afternoon, hammering El Salvador 25-6, 25-11. They had won their opening game 25-6, 25-10 over Nicaraguan on Thursday and handled Honduras: 25-15, 25-12 on Friday. They lost to gold medallists Panama 25-14, 13-25 and 10-15 on Saturday morning. The Belize team won 25-22, 17-10, 15-10 against Nicaragua on Thursday, but lost 20-25, 13-25 to El Salvador on Friday.

Belize’s basketball team won 39-18 against Honduras at the Sacred Heart College auditorium in San Ignacio on Friday and 46-38 over Nicaragua on Saturday; but they had lost 26-28 to Panama on Thursday. The female team lost 14-31 to Panama on Thursday and 19-37 to Nicaragua on Saturday.

Belize’s male football team drew 2-2 with Honduras at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan as on Thursday morning with goals by Rafael Umana and Duane McNichol. El Salvador won 6-1 over Belize on Friday, with Daitan Pastarana scoring Belize’s only goal. Belize and Panama drew 2-2 on Saturday, with goals by Pastrana and Allen Umana.

Belize’s football girls lost 1-2 to Honduras on Thursday with Abigail Valdez scoring Belize’s goal. El Salvador and Panama each won 2-0 over the Belize girls
