As a child growing up in Barnsley’s South Athersley estate in the early 90s, Black Box would often come booming out of his kitchen radio, older brother’s stereo or the boy racer’s red MRK 2 doing the rounds. So it’s no wonder the seminal group who captured a moment in British culture also captured the imagination of a young Daley Padley.
Some 20 odd years later and not being one to shy away from a vocal sample it’s no surprise Hot Since 82 has served up a summertime moment that’s not just for somebody, it’s for everybody…EVERYBODY, EVERYBODY!
Currently hurtling his way through a summer that would make any young aspiring DJ weak at the knees, Mr Padley has made a track that simply reflects every bit of sun, sand, sea, and sordid after party he’s coming across and everybody he’s met along the way.
The original is perfect for the sunshine raver. Whether on the beachfront, pool-side or rooftop terrace this ticks the box. If you’re feeling sinister, fear not, Daley has enrolled Olivier Giacomotto and Cadenza’s Argy to put their spin on things with two solid reworks. If you’ve seen HS82 recently chances are you heard him hammering the Giacomotto mix, this is how remixes are supposed to sound!
Hot Since 82 is quickly becoming one of the biggest DJs in the world. Having starred on the front cover of Mixmag, performed live with a string quartet, nailed x2 Essential Mixes, served up several Beatport No.1s and this month kidnapping his fans with his new TAKEN project which sold out in 30 mins flat! As if that wasn’t enough he’s about to embark on a KNEE DEEP IN SOUND world tour that will run from September until the end of the year.
Somebody Everybody is the third release on his Knee Deep In Sound label, following the success of “Don’t Touch The Alarm” (Essential New Tune) and Okain & Cuartero’s “Cameleon”.

‘The year is 1999 and a young boy in oversized marching band attire, and majestic red Shako, clutches his beloved snare drum, playing like his life depends on it. His name is Theo Kottis and he’s keeping rhythm for the Philharmonic Orchestra in his childhood home of Thessaloniki in Greece. Fastforward 15 years and Theo, now living in Edinburgh, has swapped his shoulderstrap drum for drum machines and synthesisers, in a mission to cultivate his own futuristic sound.
Sometimes dark, sometimes uplifting, always emotive; Theo is truly obsessive about his approach to music. As a DJ he’s already performed at Rockness, T In The Park, Hideout and Glasgow’s legendary Sub Club, and that’s purely down to his talents in the booth. Now, with a blossoming production career, Theo has found a whole new way to convey his passion for music and convert his wide range of influences and experiences into substantive club compositions
This EP demonstrates both sides of Theo’s nature. Founded on a bed of punching lowend drums Waiting Game is a bold and uplifting track that utilises chord progressions and a shimmering bell sequence to create an atmosphere that radiates his Summers in Ibiza. What Do You Feel, however, see’s Theo approach with a more strippedback aesthetic. Whilst his uncanny melodies remain central to the track, the overall feeling is darker and less immediate, slowly building the layers before an arpeggiated chord sequence provides the crescendo for this chilling slice of modern electronica.
Hot on the heels of his excellent Groove Armada remix, this is just the start of things with Theo Kottis and Moda Black. This Autumn he will join Jaymo & Andy George on several Moda Black tour dates, accompanying the likes of Fur Coat, Hot Since 82 and Richy Ahmed at dates in London, Edinburgh and Belfast.

London based folk/punk singer-songwriter Rob Lynch first debuted on the scene with his DIY 5-track EP in 2011. The self-titled EP was ‘EP Of The Year’ from popular punk fanzine Punktastic.
Between August 2012 and August 2013, Rob took some time out of touring to record tracks in Philadelphia with Shane Henderson (Valencia) and London (Amazing Grace Studios) with Sam Duckworth (Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly) to create a full-length album. The record journeys through themes such as the death of his father, life on the road and finding light in times of darkness. The record was thus christened All These Nights In Bars Will Somehow Save My Soul.
