Jeremy Powers was the 2012 U.S. National Cyclocross Champion and holds the distinction as the man with the highest-ever finish at a UCI World Cup Elite Men’s Race. For the past few years, Jeremy has been the winningest men’s rider in American domestic cyclocross. Jeremy has a trio of US Gran Prix of Cyclocross overall victories, and has finished atop the USA Cycling cyclocross rankings for nearly half a decade. With one UCI race left on the US Calendar, Powers holds a slender lead in the inaugural USA Cycling Cyclo-cross Calendar, and is a hot favorite for victory in Boulder for the 2014 US National Championships. Today, on BTB TV Cross Talk, we sit down with Jeremy Powers to talk about how he got to be one of the most recognizable names in cyclocross, what it took to get there, and what the future holds for the rider and for the sport.
