Goose Island Beer Co. will be hitting London for the first time with its annual Migration Week tour, giving beer lovers a chance to try some of its best and rarest beers.

Bringing the spirit of Chicago to the Capital, Goose Island’s Migration Week will run from 10 – 13 March, giving beer fans a week of events, delicious American food and live music.

During the week, Goose Island will be laying on two awesome free events for beer lovers; including a ’Celebration of Beer: Back to the Roots’ event at the White Horse Pub in Parsons Green and the brewer’s legendary 312 Day, held in the UK for the first time, at Hoxton Docks in London.

Josh Smith, European Brand Ambassador at Goose Island Beer Co., commented: “We’re stoked to be bringing a slice of Chicago culture to London with Migration Week. There’s a buzzing craft beer scene here so we can’t wait to meet fellow beer lovers and try some great-tasting beers. 312 Day is an awesome day bringing together top music, food and of course, the opportunity to try some great tasting Goose Island beers.”

Celebration of Beer at the White Horse Pub

Beer lovers are invited to the White Horse on Friday 11 March where Goose Island will be hosting a unique event, offering drinkers a chance to try some of its awesome beers, including a rare barrel of Bourbon County Stout Templeton Rye aged in bourbon barrels. Beer experts from the brewery, Josh Smith and Jonny Tyson, will be on hand to talk through some of its classic beers, including Honker’s Ale, which was inspired by visits to English country pubs and combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle for a perfectly balanced beer, 312 Urban Wheat Ale and award-winning Goose IPA.

Two of Goose Island Beer Co.’s vintage beers will also be available for beer fans to try, including Belgian farmhouse ale, Sofie, which is wine- barrel aged with an abundance of hand-zested orange peel, and the spicy Belgian pale ale, Matilda. Whilst sipping on beer, guests can get into the Chicago spirit with a dose of live music from a local Blues and Rock band, plus feast on an all-American BBQ.

312 Day

312 Day, was given its name due to the Chicago dialing code (312) – the home of Goose Island. The event has been held on 12 March in Goose Island’s native Chicago for four years. The annual day of festivities celebrates Chicago’s urban culture and sees the popular brewer opening up Goose Island beer, live music and exciting collaborations for the local community.

Indie band Mystery Jets will headline Goose Island’s 312 Day event on 12 March as the Chicago brewer brings its iconic beer extravaganza to London for the first time.

Traditionally held on 12 March (3/12), the free event will bring the spirit of Chicago to Hoxton Docks, East London, giving beer lovers a night of live music, tasty food and the chance to try some of Goose Island’s great beers, including an introduction to Green Line Pale Ale.

Headliners and Eel Pie Island residents, Mystery Jets, will be playing tracks from their recent album Curve of the Earth, including Telomere and Bombay Blue, whilst electronic rising star, Alex Vargas, will treat fans to a rendition of Giving Up The Ghost. There’ll also be a DJ set from Radio X’s Dan O’Connell.

And of course, beer lovers will also get the chance to try some of Goose Island’s best beers, including award-winning Goose IPA, Honkers Ale, 312 Urban Wheat Ale and Green Line Pale Ale – which has never been sold in the UK before. Green Line Pale Ale, an American Pale Ale, is part of Goose Island’s Green Goose Project, a sustainability project focused on measuring and minimizing Goose Island’s environmental footprint. Vintage Goose Island beers Sofie and Matilda will also be available to try.

Legendary street food truck Anna Mae’s Mac N’ Cheese will be providing gig-goers with her awesome mac n’ cheese, pairing each mac n’ cheese with one of Goose Island’s great beers.
