Goose Island brings beer, bands and the spirit of Chicago to East London

LONDON, (02 February, 2017) – Folk-punk singer Frank Turner will headline Goose Island’s 312 Day beer extravaganza on 12 March 2017.
312 Day 2017 will bring a celebratory vibe to your Sunday, giving beer and music lovers an amazing afternoon of live music, tasty street food, and a whole host of Goose Island’s classic beers.
Frank Turner, whose work blurs the lines between folk and punk, will headline Goose Island’s 312 Day with a rare and exclusive solo acoustic set. The restless rock’n’roll troubadour will play tracks from his sixth studio album Positive Songs for Negative People and has built up a legendary status as a live performer.
Grammy award-winner and cult one-man bluesband Son of Dave will help celebrate Goose Island’s Americana roots, with a harmonica and beat-box musical extravaganza. Brass-brand, Brasstermind, will play an eclectic set for a Sunday soul party no like no other and vinyl-only connoisseur, DJ Paul Cross lined-up to spin something special on the decks!
Beer lovers will get the chance to try some of Goose Island’s best beers including 312 Urban Wheat Ale, which is inspired by and named after the city of Chicago’s dialing code. Other Goose Island classics like Honkers Ale, Green Line and the award-winning Goose IPA* will also form part of the 312 Day beer line-up. Howard’s Meat Co., whose background is rooted in the smoking pits of Austin Texas, will create a one-of-a-kind BBQ brunch specially crafted to pair with the beers.
312 Day has been held in Goose Island’s native Chicago for five years and is designed to celebrate 312 Urban Wheat Ale – an immensely refreshing ale with a crisp and fruity flavour inspired by the city’s dialing code (312). The annual day of festivities celebrates Chicago’s urban culture and sees the popular brewer bringing together the local community to celebrate with great Goose Island beer and live music.
Tickets for Goose Island 312 Day 2017, are priced at £10 and go on sale on Thursday 09 February from Eventbrite. All ticketholders must be over 18.
Each ticket-holder will be granted one complimentary glass of Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat Ale upon entrance. Doors will open at 2pm and will close at 7pm.
