I was asked to review a product from Cave Tools.
I was given the choice of the tool I wanted to review, and because my family frequently gets together for cookouts, and shishkabob's are a favorite of ours, I decided on the Kabob Skewers Rack.
When we make kabobs, we usually make them different each time.
One time we may add various vegetables with chicken or switch it up with beef and various veggies. For the purpose of the review, we made both chicken and beef kabobs.
Both the chicken and the beef slid on the skewer without difficulty. The end of the skewer is sharp enough that all the food slid on without any effort, but not so sharp, that you poke or cut yourself.
The vegetables did not break in half as we were placing them on the skewer.
In the past when we used the wooden skewers, I often would end up poking myself with the sharp end of the wood skewer, or my onion would break as I was trying to slide it on.
That did not happen with my Cave Tool Skewer.
Once our kabobs were assembled, they fit nicely onto the rack, that had built in slits, to keep the skewers in place.
This allowed easy transport out to the barbecue grill.
We placed, rack and all on the grill, closed the lid and allowed them to cook.
Midway, they were very easy to turn, as being on the rack, the meat kabobs did not stick to the grill. We just turned the little handles on the end of the skewer to be sure they were cooking thoroughly!
It was so much easier than the wooden skewers, no meat falling off, burning,
or sticking!
Best of all no burning of the kabob stick as the wooden ones usually do!
Once the Kabobs were cooked, we used the built in food slider that easily removed the food onto our plates.
The Kabob rack is dishwasher safe.
Has a stainless steel design that makes cleaning up easy.
