Wine Awesomeness is a monthly wine subscription box.  It costs $45/month for three bottles of wine (your choice of three red wines, three white wines, or a mixture), or $75/month for six bottles of wine (three reds and three whites).

This is a review of October’s box.  Sorry it took me so long to go over all three bottles.  I’m really not an expert in wines so I’m here trying my best to be a wine critic lol.

Here’s what the packaging looks like.

Everything in this month’s Wine Awesomeness box.

The box comes with this information booklet describing the wines.

Descriptions of this month’s wine selections.  They also included recipes for food that can be paired with the wines.

The box also included this breakfast bar sample.

Hacienda Araucano Pinot Noir 2013 – Pinot noir isn’t really my wine because it’s generally too dry for my liking.  However, I had never tried a pinot noir from Chile before, so I was hoping this would change my mind, but it didn’t.  I didn’t taste too much fruitiness in it.  It’s more of a dry taste, but surprisingly I didn’t find this one too acidic, probably because it has a balance between acidity and fruitiness.  This is the clingiest wine out of the three.

Santa Julia Brut Rosé NV – Brut rosé is actually one of my favorite kinds of wine (probably mostly because I like sparkling drinks).  I was definitely excited to try this one because you don’t normally see brut rosé from Argentina.  Apparently this one has a relatively high acidity to it.  I like how bubbly it is.

Recuerdo Torrontés 2013 – White wines are usually not my thing, but this one is actually the only one I could taste any fruitiness in, and it’s the sweetest out of the three.  It’s very light.  This is actually my favorite out of the three wines.

Overall, I definitely had fun trying these three wines from South America, all of which were new to me and definitely taste different from what we have here in Napa.
