Naturepedic, a manufacturer of independently certified organic mattresses and accessories, has begun shipping the EOS Customizable Organic Mattress Sleep System, a new collection from the Chagrin Falls, Ohio-based company. EOS, which stands for “Evolution of Sleep,” allows consumers to configure their mattress based on their needs.
The bed, which launched at Las Vegas Market Jan. 26-30, is well suited to online sales, requires light assembly and ships flat in multiple boxes. To assemble, the bed’s wrapped coils and other mattress layers are placed into a zippered, quilted cover of certified-organic cotton.
Product packaging and delivery are convenient for apartment dwellers and transport easily through narrow hallways and up staircases. Approximate retail for a queen-size bed with latex over wrapped coils (mattress only) is about $2,599.
Customers may choose from preconfigured models or they can fully customize their mattress using the online EOS Configuration Assistant.
EOS mattresses are third-party certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard. Mattress components include certified-organic wool batting, certified-organic cotton batting and latex certified to the Global Organic Latex Standard.
