So summer is almost gone, but don’t fret, there are still things to do in Auckland, loads of things happening in March, and we wrote this article for you to help you get yourself planned for various activities you can attend with your family and loved ones.

#1  French Film Festival | 1st — 13th march

On its 10th year, The  The Alliance Francaise French Film Festival, will showcase a special selection of films from the Cannes International Film Festival, Patron Antonia Prebble’s personal favourites and a number of other French-language productions.

#2  Amber Griffin Photography Exhibition | 1st March — 1st April

If you are into Photography, then head out to  the Exhibitions Gallery in Newmarket to view really amazing beautiful photographs. Amber Griffin, has worked close with some of  New Zealand’s top ballet and contemporary dance artists to explore the beauty and majesty of movement through a diverse range of contemporary photographic processes.

#3  Auckland Arts Festival | 2nd — 20th March

the Auckland Arts Festival will give you 19 days of Theater, Dance, Music, Circus and Dreams to the City of Sails.

#4  Auckland Cup Week | 5th — 12th March

Auckland Cup Week kicks off with the BMW Derby Day on March 5th. On Wednesday, join the racing elite at the Barfoot & Thompson Cocktail Party at The Hilton, and then on Saturday there’s some serious awards up for grabs at Auckland Cup Day.

#5  Pasifika | 12th — 13th March

Pasifika returns to Western Springs for two days of music and vibes. There will be 11 Pacific Island villages, each with their own stage and market setting, for a fabulous day out the entire family will enjoy.

#6  Live Well—Lifestyle, Wellness & Fitness Festival | 12th — 13th March

Head out to The Cloud for a weekend that is all about healthy living, fitness, lifestyle, nutrition, food and wellness.

#7  The Hugh Green Group Street Parade | 13th March

Dress in Green on the 13th to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. Featuring Irish inspired floats, traditional music, dancing, bands, banners and more, it’s time to don those shamrocks, drink some Guinness and create a bit of luck.

#8  Auckland Fair | 13th March

The Auckland Fair is back at Shed 10 with more than 90 makers from around New Zealand showcasing homewares, art, clothing, furniture, toys, flowers, plants, cosmetics and more.

#9  Highwic Art Deco Day Out | 13th March

The Highwic House will have a day of live music, dancing, vintage cars, market stalls, tea, cake and cocktails! Start a Pinterest board and gather some ideas about what to wear, because there’ll be prizes for the best dressed.

#10  Auckland City Limits | 19th March

Auckland City Limits is will be a fusion of eats, music and art, and promises to be one of the highlights of the year. Inspired by and aligned with the world-class Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas it will add a NZ flavour and spirit.

#11  Auckland Colour Run | 20th March

The Colour Run celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality. Now the largest event series in the world, The Colour Run has more than 300 events in more than 50 countries. Put on a white t-shirt and end up looking like a tie-dyed vat of coloured goodness.

#12  Auckland International Cultural Festival | 20th March

Be Diverse and join the International Culture Festival. With a selection of food, music, sports, arts and culture from around the world, it’s an awesome event to add to your March calendar.

#13  Royal Easter Show | 24th — 28th March

This easter the Royal Easter Show is back with Art World, Farm World, an ice skating rink and loads more. It’s free entry, and you can purchase tickets for the carnival rides, circus and sideshows on-site. Stay around for the fireworks at 9.30pm to finish your night with a bang—or several.

#14  Waiheke International Jazz Festival | 25th — 27th March

Are you into music and jazz?  Waiheke is up for an exciting line-up of local and NZ talent over Easter Weekend. All-day sessions, evening concert series and late night Supper Club Sessions. The Grand Finale is on Sunday night at Rangihoua Estate, ‘Where the stars come out to play.’

#15  The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band | 31st March

Are you into blues? Mick Fleetwood, is the co-founder of legendary Fleetwood Mac. Celebrating his Blues heritage with his band and with powerful percussion and persona, staying true to the early styling of the band you can Go Your Own Way and sing and dance the night away.
