First of all, thank you so much for all your submissions!

I had so much fun browsing and reading everyone’s blogs. I loved it – and I already know who’s next to be featured! hehe I even bookmarked majority of the blogs – so don’t be surprise if I all of a sudden comment ♥ If you want to be featured on my next Friday Favorite, feel free to contact me or leave a comment below.

Alexandra’s blog, Heart Love Weddings definitely caught my eye! I mean the name alone, “weddings,” you guys know how obsessed I am with anything to do with weddings ♥ So pretty much right when I read the name, I got super excited; and when I got to the site, it did NOT disappoint. Heart Love Weddings has a ton of content and of course my favorite is the “Real Weddings.” LOVE!

Tell us about Heart Love Weddings:

Heart Love Weddings is a wedding and (newly) lifestyle blog. We cater to three audiences: the single gal (like me), planning brides-to-be, and newly-wedded wives. We’re all about real weddings, real style, real food, real life, and most importantly, real love.

Broken down, Heart Love Weddings is a representation of me (I’m the heart behind the blog), of love stories (and other things I love), and of course, all things wedding.

What kinds of things inspires you to write your posts?

A lot of the time it has to do with every day life. What I’m doing, what I’m seeing, what I’m handling. I got my first ever Birchbox last month and loved it so much I wrote a post about it. I write the love stories of the couples whose weddings I feature because I want to know the story behind what got them there. The details are great, but love is better. Magazines, blog surfing, and Pinterest also really help get my creative juices flowing.

What is your most favorite DIY that you’ve done?

Our DIY Chalkboard Mason Jar Candle Centerpiece is probably my favorite project so far (and our most popular – it was recently published internationally via Sweet Paul magazine)!!

Have you done any collaboration(s) with other bloggers or companies in the past?

Not yet, but I’m hoping for lots now that I’ve opened myself up to the lifestyle side of the blogging world :).

What is your dream wedding?

When I featured this mint and lavender beach wedding inspiration shoot from Sarah Street Photography and Style by Design a few weeks back, I said, “When I think about my dream wedding from here on out, I’ll be thinking of this shoot.” I can’t think of anything I’d love more than for my dream wedding to be simple, pretty, at the ocean, and ending with a dip kiss as my “first kiss”. http://www.heartloveweddings.com/2013/09/mint-and-lavender-beach-wedding-inspiration-shoot/

Any advice to someone like me who’s planning a wedding?

Keep it simple. Hire a wedding planner. Get an amazing photographer, because photos are the only detail you’ll leave the wedding day with. Don’t get so caught up in the details that you forget what the wedding day is all about. It’s a celebration of you, your husband, and the love you share. If everything else goes wrong the day of, as long as you’ve married the love of your life, everything will be exactly right.

Describe your style (in beauty, fashion and/or decor):

I’m fairly simple. I like to be comfy, and just a little trendy. I like neutrals that I can play up with pops of color and sparkle. You can never have enough of either. I could live on Kate Spade, J.Crew, Anthropologie, and Whole Foods – that’s me in a pretty, little nutshell.

Other than working on Heart Love Weddings, what do you like to do in your free time?

I love to read. Good books, a series, fantasy and romance novels get me every time. I love to shop – especially for shoes and office supplies. I love to clean and organize (it’s very relaxing to me). I’m a tv and movie buff and thus know lots of random facts about both.

Are you working on any project(s) right now?

I’m always working. I’ve always got some idea, some “thing” in the works. We do have a special wedding feature month coming up in January!! And I’m really looking forward to expanding our new lifestyle categories.

What can we expect from Heart Love Weddings in the future?

Expanding our lifestyle features to include more food, more style, more fashion and beauty, more DIY, more life and love, blogging and business, and so much more. Opening HLW to lifestyle gives me a whole new canvas to work with. I’m inspired and excited to just write about what I love (besides weddings) everyday.
