Car Part Art Exhibit – Art for Sale!



We are please to offer for sale select works from the Car Part Art Exhibit.

TO PURCHASE

Please contact Katie Frassinelli at katie@corvettemuseum.org or 270-467-8846. Works can be purchased with cash, credit card or check payable to the National Corvette Museum. Payment must be received to secure the art piece, however art pieces are to stay on display at the Museum until January 8, 2016. After that time purchasers may either pick up their art, or the works can be shipped for an additional fee. Artists are paid by the Museum for their work if it sells.





Acadia’s Unicorn
Alan Lequire. Parts gathered along Charlotte Avenue in Nashville, including exhaust tips, brake drum, intake and exhaust valves, shocks, upper control arm assembly, exhaust strap, exhaust clamp, transmission filters, muffler, internal transmission parts, exhaust tubing, brake pads, transmission output shaft and lug nuts.

Midnight Drive
Trent Boysen. Using kilnformed glass, Trent’s piece pays homage to the design and emotion of the first Corvettes. The left side uses trim design off the 1954 Corvette while the right side takes cues from the scallop door area of the next Corvette body design.
Price: $1,100 each or $1,900 for both

American Glamour
Christopher Brendan Hayes. Inspired by art cars by Britto, Warhol, Calder and Haring. 1960 Corvette.

Doug Regen. Uses Corvette exhaust.

Matryoshka Nesting Dolls
Anjeanette Illustration. Harley Earl, Helen Emsley and Betty Skelton are painted on the muffler parts. The lugnuts are Kentucky, a Stingray and a Corvette logo.

Warm Chroma Study
Brandon Donahue. Brandon was inspired by the idea of totem poles and ancient sculptures that include stacking things on top of each other to imply levels of hierarchy and spirtual guides.

Midnight
John Romang. Corvette braked rotor, Corvette paint, pieces of brick from the Flint, MI factory that produced the first 300 1953 Corvettes.

Pendant Lights
Jonathan Saad. Created from rims of a 1970 MG Midget. Each light has been silver leafed.

Katrina Bullington. Uses muffler, brake rotor, tail pipes, wiring harness, mechanic gloves, clutch cage and more.

Josh Mitcham. The background is barn lumber with a Model T bumper running the length. There are four hub center caps and various lights, reflectors and emblems

Ed Nash. This sculpture incorporates LED lighting and a mixed media material on a Corvette Stingray hood.

Please Feed the Bees
Michelle Grayum. The shapes of this form made Michelle think of wings and insects and the idea behind the piece is to serve as a reminder that bees and pollination are elemental in our life cycles and help us sustain our food supply. Mixed media encaustic on hubcap.

Juanito the Burro of Queens
Lauren A. Milliken. Inspired by a stray burro who wandered upon Lauren’s farm. Lauren wanted to give him a Spanish name, and she was born in New York City’s Borough of Queens (as were two of her neighbors). Fan belt, muffler, shock absorbers, body mounting pads, water pump, brake pads.
