Remember when I told you about Avon’s New Extra Lasting Makeup Collection? Well, after I reviewed the lipsticks and the concealer, a few more pieces showed up at my doorstep and one of them was the Avon Extra Lasting Liquid Foundation($15CDN):
Avon Extra Lasting Liquid Foundation
I was sent the shade Sand Beige which you can see is way too dark for me, so I put it aside and kind of forgot about it.
Well, I decided to try it out the other day, and yes it’s still too dark for me even though I’ve gotten a bit of sun and colour over the last while. I wasn’t going to blog about it, but I HAD to. This foundation is SO GOOD YOU GUYS!! I couldn’t believe how good my skin looked in the pictures I had taken.
The texture is velvety smooth and almost like a cream, and boy! does it have coverage! This is medium to full coverage and I usually HATE foundations that cover so much because you can FEEL the stuff on your face and they give you mask face. I much prefer to use lighter coverage and then use concealer to cover any issues. Plus long-lasting foundations just don’t agree with my skin either-they’re usually matte and therefore not something my drier skin can tolerate all that well. But Avon Extra Lasting Liquid Foundation doesn’t feel heavy at all! It feels and looks natural on, leaving a velvety matte finish that’s not drying! The finish and coverage are just gorgeous. I didn’t even use concealer in these pics:
See that coverage? Redness which is my main problem is gone! It even does a pretty decent job at covering my sun damage on my cheekbones as well. Avon Extra Lasting Liquid Foundation is meant to last 18 hours, and I can’t say for sure if that’s how long it really does last, but boy 12 hours later it was still going strong with no signs of giving up! And it still felt good on too! I love it! Oh, and it has SPF 12 as well, and if there’s any cons then that would be my one-I’d much rather there have been SPF 30.
As you know, I’m more of a powder foundation or tinted moisturizer beauty junkie, but Avon Extra Lasting Liquid Foundation is changing my mind, because I am so getting one that matches my skin tone better that’s for sure!
