Summer weather can alter the way we care for our
skin. Sun protection and different, often lighter formulations are
required. However, I have been testing ten excellent products from natural
skin care experts, Reviva Labs, that will definitely help keep you
looking your best despite what those climate changes can do with this review and
giveaway.
Start your day off right and treat your skin to
pampering cleansing like I did with their creamy #570
Moisture with Goat'sMilk Bar. This has to be one of my favorite soaps of all time for how
beautifully it can make your skin. Your complexion will thrive from this
gentle, sweet-smelling formula and gain velvety softness. Furthermore,
this is a bar that lasts and lasts without melting into mush. And yet, it sells for
$4.00!
Eyes need special attention and a great choice is #212 Eye Gelee Concentrate. I loved the fact how much more hygienic
applying a serum was than dipping your finger into a jar of eye cream, lessening
the risk of contamination. The clear gel texture was not too thick or too
thin, but in between and spread wonderfully without excess greasiness.
This made a great base before makeup or alone. Using twice daily, I patted
just a small amount in and liked how moisturizing the formula felt with
beneficial skin ingredients like elastin, firming collagen, and herbal extracts
to help with puffiness.
Thirty minutes or so before I planned going outside, I
would put on Reviva's #296 Sun Protective Moisturizer with SPF 25 on my
face, neck, and on exposed arms. This is a light cream that absorbs
nicely to hydrate as it protects from sun damage without leaving you
greasy. You can wear this cream under your makeup as I do or just by
itself.
Somehow, I feel naked without makeup. Though in
summer, I do lighten up on the amount of cosmetics I use. Two products,
however, I cannot leave home without are mascara and something soothing for
lips. If you're hunting for a more natural line of mascara, then #940 Black Liquid Mascara is a gentle, non-waterproof alternative, especially if you're allergy prone
like my eyes. This tube lengthens and thickens with fibers just minus
loads of chemicals names their commercial counterparts have.
When it came to my lips, I would apply their #214 Vitamin
E Oil Stick next. This slicks them up with moisturizing
vitamin E and SPF 15 protection. Sometimes, I would wear this alone or
underneath my lipstick. You can also use this stick under eyes, but I
preferred this consistency more for lips.
Nights called for a few adjustments to my morning
routine. Before I stepped into the tub, I removed my cosmetics and whisked
that mascara away with #843 Eye Makeup Remover Gel on a cotton ball.
This dislodged it and the shadow and liner easily enough.
I always try to moisturize as soon as I get out of
the shower or tub to best lock in moisture. Therefore, I would wrap
myself in a towel while partially damp and hurry to tend to my eyes and face
first. I would reapply the Eye Gelee first and then give my face a
fragrant drink of #576R Rose Facial Spray to prep before reaching for #366
Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester & DMAE Cream to help repair the
effects of day.
This is a fabulous anti-aging cream with the way it works
to improve and overhaul the look of your skin in time as it firms with powerful
ingredients like DMAE, the first proven ingredient to actually have some
positive effect on facial sagging according to the research I read. Other
topnotch components in the formula include alpha
lipoic acid, vitamin C, ester, soy, aloe vera, and allantoin.
Once that towel would fall, I slathered on #388 Elastin & Collagen Body Firming Lotion to the rest of naked me. This
awesome stuff makes you comfortable after time spent outdoors while helping you
firm skin on any less than perfect body part. It won't magically pull everything
together, but this lotion will tone you better than you expect.
The last product of #499 Hawaiian Seaweed Face Mask
was what I saved for a weekly treatment. This is a heavy duty way to purge
your complexion of impurities, boost circulation, and
rebalance it regardless of skin type. Spreading just a medium layer of
this pale green mask on your clean face with its kaolin and bentonite along with skin
nourishing sea minerals will do
wonders for beautifying your complexion with softness, tone, and a gorgeous new
glow. Unlike a typical clay mask, this is far from a heavy, thick paste
but has a smooth and lighter texture with a pleasant, relaxing aroma while to
wait for it to work. I left my mask for about 25 minutes before rinsing off with warm
water.
What I love so much about Reviva Labs and the
products that I have tried now and in the past are they perform and are
