As it's the new year, we thought we'd introduce a new feature by filling you in on anything you may have missed on the blog over the last month.  As you know, Lisa was on holiday in North America over the last month but now she's back in Scotland and I'm sure you'll hear all about her travels in future blog posts.  This month I took on the large task of running the blog solo and I definitely have more appreciation for those who do it alone, especially those who blog everyday!  We've had such a lovely response from our readers so thank you for putting up with a month of Sami posts, I've loved replying to all your comments.  Here's what you may have missed in the month of January.

Week 1: I started off the month with my Makeup Collection.  I decided it was about time to ditch the acrylic storage and start getting more organised and I'm really happy with the result.  There's still a few extra touches to be made but I'll be sure to update you on the process.  Next up was the return of the Herbal Essences Old Formula which I was so excited about.  I was really disappointed when they changed their formula and it was never quite the same but I'm glad I got a chance to try it out like old times.  Lastly, I introduced two new candles into my growing collection with a few Yankee Candle Large Jars in Midnight Jasmine and Midsummers Night.  I've been burning them non stop and I love how calming and fresh they are.

Week 2: I decided I wanted to be a little more adventurous with my tea choices this year so I was excited to try out some new flavours from my Teapigs Pick n' Mix Sample Pack.  Some I absolutely loved and some.. not so much but it's safe to say Chai Tea and Jasmine Pearls were the overall winners and I'll definitely be getting those again.  There's been some fantastic new products out lately so I wrote a feature on New Beauty Releases, talking about all the new launches I'm excited about.  It's safe to say you're all just as in awe of the NARS eyeshadow palette as I am!  To cure my dry/dehydrated skin I've been loving the Origins Mask Marvels Set.  The charcoal mask just takes away all of the nasties and Drink Up Intensive makes everything better.  If your skin is suffering from the cold weather, stay tuned for some solutions next month!

Week 3: In week 3 I took on the mammoth task of reviewing every Nails Inc polish I own, with swatches included.  Normally that wouldn't sound too daunting but with a collection of over 60 shades, it definitely becomes tiring!  Nails Inc Collection Part 1 featured all the warm shades and Nails Inc Collection Part 2 featured the cold shades and glitter polishes.  If applying the swatches seems like the hard part, taking them off was even worse.  Even more so when I discovered the polish comes off the nail wheel without needing to use polish remover when I'd reached the last one.  Difficult task but definitely worth it in the end, hopefully you'll all find some shades you'll love!

Week 4: Week 4 kicks off with my January Favourites.  I haven't really introduced any new makeup items so my picks are mainly skincare/haircare/fragrance based.  It also includes the super nail polish remover which helped the removal process of all the nail polish swatches!

I hope you all had a lovely January.  You'll definitely be seeing a lot more of Lisa from now on so make sure you tune in next month to hear all about her time in the US.
