Give credit to Victoria Beckham; she’s transitioned from a popstar to a super-successful, well-respected fashion designer. And now she’s collaborated on an exceptional makeup collaboration with Estée Lauder.

Visually, as you’d expect, the Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Makeup Collection is stunning. Beautiful eyeshadows, a bronzer and highlighter in colors and textures that pop. When first teased on social media, there was major excitement. And in person…I can totally see why. While many would do simply a capsule collection of only a few pieces, this collection was a serious undertaking by a woman that loves makeup.

The Limited Edition Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Makeup Collection includes:

Morning Aura Illuminating Creme, $95

Highlighter in Modern Mercury, $65

Bronzer in Java Sun, $65

Eye Ink in Black Myrrh, $45

Eye Metals Eyeshadow in Bitter Clove or Charred Emerald, $45

Eye Foils in Burnt Anise or Blonde Gold, $36

Eye Palette, six shades that can be worn wet or dry, $95

Eye Kajal Duo in Black Saffron/Vanille, $30

Lipstick in two shades: Chilean Sunset and Brazilian Nude, $45

Lip Pencil in Victoria, $30

Lip Gloss in Moroccan Heat, $36

I’ve been fortunate to be able to preview several pieces in the Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Collection and they’re special. The overall look is a metallic, smoldering eye with sexy, illuminated skin. The packaging is visually beautiful, with fold and black ribbing. In a word? Fierce.

The Victoria Beckham Morning Aura Illuminating Crème is my favorite of the products I tried. It’s part primer, part moisturizer and part illuminating highlighter. This crème is brilliant and seriously addicting, because no matter how you use it, you’re reaching for it again the next morning. There are a variety of ways to use the Morning Aura Illuminating Crème. Wear it on bare skin for a natural, “lit-from-within” glow; wear it as a primer under foundation, or as an illuminator over foundation.

I was so excited when I saw that the Modern Mercury Highlighter was being reincarnated! The original was so innovative, in terms of form and texture; it was actually almost sculptural. The Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Highlighter in Modern Mercury recreates that textural aspect in a spectacular fashion. The highlighter itself imparts a sheer glow…not “sparkles”. I love it because women of all ages can wear this…daytime, nighttime, as a “finish” to your face. For best results, I recommend applying with a fan brush.

Victoria Beckham Eye Metals Eyeshadow takes the metallic trend to a very wearable form. Available in two shades, I have Bitter Clove, which is a neutral bronze color. I’ve been wearing it on my eyelid, and yes, there is sparkle. But it’s not too much; you could wear this to the office without looking inappropriate, and in candlelight it’s absolutely magical. Grab one if you can find it!

To finish the look, the Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Collection has two lipsticks; Chilean Sunset, a bold orange-red and Brazilian Nude, a warm orange-tan.

The Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Makeup Collection is…you just run out of words to describe it. The cases–chic, elegant. The makeup–glamorous, wearable, on point. In short…you’ll have to hunt down pieces of the collection because it’s so in demand, but it’s worth it!

The Limited Edition Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Makeup Collection is available at Estée Lauder counters at Bergdorf Goodman and esteelauder.com. It’s rolling out this month to select Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and netaporter.com.
