I’m always looking for ways to multitask and I almost always look for beauty products that do double-duty. While the idea of having a nighttime beauty regimen isn’t new, there are more products than ever that are designed to repair and restore your skin while you sleep. I’ve got the 411 on some of newest overnight treatment products.

H2O+ Sea Results Deep Sleep Recovery Cream ($56) is a time-released gel-moisturizer that visibly firms and contours overnight. Rich in amino acids, marine collagen and other nutrients, this oil-free cream absorbs instantly and has a light texture, making it perfect for combination skins or as a good switch for summer. For maximum anti-aging results, use on clean skin, and after the Sea Results Deep Sleep Recovery Serum, which has micro-encapsulated retinol and Tri-peptides.

Exuviance Age Reverse Night Lift ($77) intensifies the nighttime repair cycle with some of the latest anti-aging ingredients. This product works to exfoliate skin’s surface with a triple lifting complex of Peptides and Alpha and Poly Hydroxy Acids, as well as multi-anti-oxidants including Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Vitamin C Ester.  I didn’t experience any irritation from the formula. There were many things about this product that impressed me, including the airless pump tube to maintain the potency of the ingredients. In my book, a quality product!

AVON Anew Clinical Overnight Hydration Mask ($30) takes texture to a new level. An ultra-light gel mask with encapsulated shea butter beads that burst upon contact with skin, this product provides deep hydration. What I like is that it absorbs rapidly, so you don’t have any residue on your skin (or pillow!).  ANEW Clinical Overnight Hydration Mask is formulated with encapsulated Hyaluronic Acid, so you can count on plump, smooth and soft skin. Clinically proven to deliver 48 hours of hydration, it’s also fragrance-free, oil-free and suitable for all skin types. Available exclusively through Avon Representatives or avon.com.

The Olay Regenerist Luminous Overnight Mask (SRP $25.99) is another innovative skin treatment. Unlike a typical peel-off mask, this gel treatment absorbs into skin and goes to work. The formula contains Glycerin to hydrate skin, while Niacinamide and Mulberry Root strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier and brighten. There’s also Vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant to limit free radical damage. This is definitely a comforting skin product that didn’t irritate my skin or leave a residue. You can use this Overnight Mask nightly after cleansing.

From philosophy, the microdelivery overnight anti-aging peel ($82) combines the immediate micro-exfoliation of a peel with the restorative benefits of an overnight sleep mask. This is a two-step process, where you first apply the alpha/beta hydroxy leave on solution to skin and leave on for 2-3 minutes. Then you follow up by applying the miracle worker overnight moisturizer, which offers additional hydration (bonus: you can use this gel-moisturizer alone between peels, too!). The peel solution consists of alpha and beta hydroxy acids (glycolic and lactic) for micro-exfoliation. I didn’t experience any irritation or stinging from the microdelivery overnight anti-aging peel and will definitely be adding this one to other philosophy peels that I love.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II ($62 – $92 depending on size) practically invented the class of overnight repair products. One of the first and still one of the best anti-aging serums available, I’ve used Advanced Night Repair since it’s inception. Now with an updated formula that fights all key signs of aging, Advanced Night Repair hydrates, smoothes and helps increase skin’s radiance. Apply after cleansing skin and follow with a moisturizer. The formula is oil-free and fragrance-free, non-irritating and formulated for all skintypes and ethnicities. Advanced Night Repair Eye treatment is also available, which I’ve also used and can highly recommend.

From Garnier, Ultra-Lift© Miracle Sleeping Cream™ Anti-Age + Anti-Fatigue Night Cream combines the hydrating and recharging power of a mask, with the light refreshing feel of a cream. The texture of this cream is interesting; almost mousse-like. Infused with Glycerin and Jojoba Seed Oil, as well as Essential Oil and Hyaluronic Acid (although to be fair, it’s at the end of the ingredient deck), the primary benefit of Ultra-Lift© Miracle Sleeping Cream™ Anti-Age + Anti-Fatigue Night Cream is skin softening and hydration. I didn’t experience any irritation. Although suitable for all skin types, there is fragrance in the formula, which may be irritating to some. There is also an Eye Cream available in this line. Find this in drug and discount stores.

Of all the products I tried, AHAVA Time to Smooth Age Control Even Tone Sleeping Cream ($62) is the most luxurious. If you’re looking for a rich anti-aging moisturizer that corrects uneven skin tone, this is the one you want. Rich in anti-oxidants and AHAVA’s exclusive innovative blend of Dead Sea minerals, vitamins, plants & brown alga, Time to Smooth Age Control Even Tone Sleeping Cream nourishes, hydrates and refines skin’s texture and tone.
