I don't think that I have ever seen a more beautiful makeup product than the Lancôme Limited Edition La Rôse Blush Poudrer. With a nod to the 1950's French Bijou boxes, this breathtaking highlighting powder is dispersed into a rose that is so beautiful that I am afraid to use it.

You see, in the vintage inspired box which is cardboard (it is inspired and reminiscent of old makeup and not cheaply makeup, make no mistake) sits a large rose that actually holds a highlighting powder in each petal. It seems to me that it is actually some sort of fabric petal in which makeup is built into, but nonetheless, it is unique and there is a fair amount of product here.

I did try La Rôse Blush Poudrer with the Parisian Kabuki Brush, and the buildable highlighter is a super soft light pink. It is not glittery or shimmery; it is subtle and super soft.

I just don't want to use La Rôse Blush Poudrer anymore and save it. La Rôse Blush Poudrer is a collector's item as it is one of those makeup pieces that deserves to be saved and put in a case and treasured for years to come. I do hope that Lancôme creates more products like this as I could see a whole collection in seasonal shades.

La Rôse Blush Poudrer is available at Lancôme counters and lancome-usa.com for $60. The Parisian Kabuki Brush is $34. The Blush has been selling out, so if you see it, do not hesitate.
