Historian Lucy Worsley unveiled as the host for this year’s CWA Dagger awards.

Acclaimed crime author Simon Brett to be awarded the prestigious Diamond Dagger.

The shortlist for FIVE other Dagger Awards is revealed.

Tickets to the evening ceremony on 30th June go on sale.

The Crime Writers’ Association are delighted to announce that historian and television presenter Lucy Worsley will host this year’s Dagger Awards in late June.

The event, which celebrates excellence in the genre of crime writing, will see respected author Simon Brett be honoured with the Diamond Dagger, the highest accolade the CWA can bestow.

Other awards that will be presented on the night include the International Dagger, the Short Story Dagger, the Endeavour Historical Dagger, the Non-Fiction Dagger and the CWA Debut Dagger.

The shortlists for the Daggers were revealed at CrimeFest in May and tickets to the awards have now gone on sale. The shortlisted authors will have the chance to rub shoulders and talk all things crime writing at the glittering event in central London.

As well as being a chance to honour the best in crime writing, the event is a great opportunity to enjoy good food, great company and to pick the brains of the most talented authors in the crime writing genre. It’s an evening to be missed at your peril so book now to avoid disappointment.
