Tickets for Shania Twain concert go on sale Jan. 24
Yeehaw! Shania Twain is coming to the 2014 Calgary Stampede. Canada’s country music chanteuse will perform July 9 as part of the Virgin Mobile Stampede Concert Series.
Canadian country music star Shania Twain is performing July 9 at the Calgary Stampede.
Twain now performs almost exclusively Las Vegas these days. The Stampede date on the Scotiabank Saddledome stage will be her only Canadian show in 2014.
“The opportunity to have Canadian icon Shania Twain perform at the Calgary Stampede is incredible,” said Adam Oppenheim, managing director, Stampede Concerts Inc.
“She is beloved by so many and we couldn’t be happier that Stampede fans and visitors will be able to see her first concert outside of Vegas in more than 10 years.”
An amazing and accomplished singer and songwriter, Shania Twain is a phenomenon. With more than 75 million albums sold worldwide, she is the top-selling female country artist of all time; has multi-platinum album sales in 32 countries; has the eighth-biggest selling album of all time in the U.S. and 18 top 10 songs, eight of which reached number1.
Tickets, for what is expected to be a sold out show, go on sale to the public on Friday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. and start at $79 (plus applicable fees). Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, via phone at1.855.985.5000 and at www.ticketmaster.ca.
Virgin Mobile will be offering its Members exclusive priority access to tickets for the show. Members can go to virginmobile.ca/benefits for details on the pre-sale, which runs from Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. until Jan. 23 at 10 p.m. Calgary Stampede Insiders also have an opportunity to pre-purchase tickets from Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. until Jan. 23 at 10 p.m.
