She has done makeup for brides, celebrities, and professional models. Her works have appeared in fashion spreads, editorials, billboards, and print ads. With her signature minimalist look and glowing skin (and the occasional smoky eyes on the times that call for it), she always looks her best, her own walking advertisement wherever she goes. Now she plays another role in her life—mother to her beautiful baby girl, Chloe.

“I got the Kiehl’s Nurturing Baby Cream for Face & Body, P1,625, as a gift for my baby but I got so addicted to it and got myself one for my hands, legs, and shoulders. It got rid of scaly skin from the previous cold months and gave off a soft sheen. I also use this to moisturize my breasts since I breastfeed. I even use this on my models for photo shoots to get that soft glow.”
Taming the Frizz
“Since I gave birth, my hair has gone crazy. My hair is unruly and that’s an understatement. It’s naturally curly and frizzy, so I use the Kérastase Elixir Ultime, P2,280, to tame my hair and turn it soft and wavy.”

“It’s funny because I get requests from clients for ‘that lipstick you’re wearing,’ but it’s actually shu uemura’s Depsea Hydrability Lip Balm, P1,300, that brings out a rosy, natural lip color.”

Bright Eyes
“I use the shu uemura Metal:ink Liquid Eyeliner P1,750. My fave is the metallic dark blue shade. It gives your eyes a little kick because blue brightens the eye without needing colored contacts. This eyeliner stays put no matter how long my day is. Just lining my eyes thinly or in a thick wing, the brush gives me precise & clean lines. Don’t let the metallic part scare you. It’s very subtle.”

“I can pretty much forgo brushes but one brush I can’t live without is my spoolie brush. I go over my brows and lashes with it. It removes mascara clumps and blends in the brow pencil for a soft look.”

On Balancing Work, Life, and Motherhood
“You CAN do it! Nothing’s impossible. When I can, I ask permission to bring my baby to work so I can breastfeed her during those moments when the team isn’t so harassed. If I can’t bring her, I have my breast milk ready for her in our fridge at home and I’m there to care for her, first thing in the morning. The best advice I received was to take care of myself. My husband, our yaya and I are a team. On days when I’m overworked and exhausted, they’ll cover for me and I’ll take a nap, get a massage, or watch a movie. I’ve always pushed myself hard in anything that I do, but as my friends say, motherhood is a different game. Push too hard and you’ll run on empty. Pace yourself and you’ll be capable of giving more. Be kind to yourself and look good to feel good. Nothing lifts the spirit more than a compliment on how motherhood suits you.”
