Our New Product Development department is searching for a seasoned Research and Development Technician to support our continued growth. The Research and Development Technician is to responsible for fall testing involved in the development and implementation of new products and product improvements. This position will be actively involved in the creation and development of new products, and would execute scale up trials.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
• Development of new products based on New Product Development Forms and Strategic Plan
• Responsible for the validation and verification of scale up runs for new products.
• Coordination and execution of scale up trials
• Responsible for the design of shelf life testing matrix for new products
• Collection of data and its’ accuracy related to testing and validation runs.
• Generate Nutritional Information through Food processor software
• Research on regulations pertaining to new product development
• Analyze, identify, recommend, and implement solutions for improving existing products.
• Work with cross-functional teams and Sales to provide technical support to customers through customer plant trials, customer process optimization, and technical presentations.
• Be involved in technical related matters with operations.

• Set up Sensory Evaluation for new and existing products
• Perform application and functionality tests for new products and existing products.
• Perform analytical tests for new and existing products
• Develop new testing methods for testing functionality of new products
• Develop new applications for new products.
• Follow SOP’s to perform analysis and verify accuracy
• Write SOP of new testing procedures
• Be compliant with ISO requirements and GLP’s
• Verify and update SOP’s
• Prepare samples for customers
• Ensure that the deportments procedures are up to date
• Document and report trial hours and related expenses to NPD Manager
• Cleaning of lab/pilot plant
