The Boston College-Temple football coaching exchange program continues. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey, Temple will hire Boston College defensive backs coach / recruiting coordinator Mike Siravo as the Owls next linebackers coach.
Sources have confirmed a CoachingSearch.com report that former Boston College assistant Mike Siravo will become Temple's next linebackers coach.
The Rhode Island native will return to North Broad Street, where he served as the Owls linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator in 2006. At that time, new Temple head coach Matt Rhule was the Owls quarterbacks coach.
For those keeping track at home, that makes eight different coaches (and one strength & conditioning coach) moving from Temple to BC, or BC to Temple, over the last two years:

In addition to the Siravo news, the Inquirer is reporting that the Temple LB coach Sean McGowan, who Siravo will replace on North Broad Street, will join Addazio as an assistant head coach. McGowan will likely replace McGovern as Boston College's linebacker coach. The long-time BC staffer is reportedly joining Chip Kelly's Philadelphia Eagles staff.
Addazio knows McGowan from his days coaching high school football at Cheshire HS in Connecticut. McGowan was a captain of one of Addazio's Cheshire teams that would go on to win the state championship. He's a two-year letterwinner at Fordham, where he played quarterback and safety. He began his coaching career at Division III Occidental College and made coaching stops at Pittsburgh (GA), Duquesne (DC), West Virginia Tech (DC), New Haven, New Hampshire (DC) and Temple (LBs). Here's what Addazio had to say about McGowan upon hiring him to the Temple staff two years ago.
"I have known Sean for 23 years," Addazio said. "He was one of my football captains on a state championship team at Cheshire High School in Connecticut. I've watched him grow as a college player to an assistant college coach to a defensive coordinator national I-AA powerhouse New Hampshire.
"Sean has worked his way up this profession the right way, earning respect as a coach and as a recruiter. He will bring experience, passion, and energy to our program, and our players will benefit greatly from his dedication. We are very excited to have Sean McGowan and his wife, Ashley, join the Temple football family."
