Yesterday was a little different: A.J.'s story about Alex Amidon made the rounds and was cited all over the web - most importantly, putting a national spotlight on Alex Amidon and his career move.

Boston College wide receiver Alex Amidon has decided to set his football dreams aside after graduation in order to become a Navy SEAL. Amidon's military aspirations were revealed at the 2014 BC recruiting dinner on Wednesday, according to BC Interruption.

Boston College wide receiver Alex Amidon is coming off a fine season that likely would have led to a shot in an NFL camp. Instead, Amidon is looking to join a different team. According to a report, Amidon will try to become a United States Navy SEAL.

That's just a small sampler of the attention Amidon rightly received from all over yesterday.

Bosotn College is 5-7 all time in the Women's Hockey East Tournament. The Eagles have captured one title (2011), have finished second twice, and reach the semifinals seven times. UNH leads all teams in the conference with four titles, last winning it all in 2009.

No. 1 Boston College pretty well ran away with the regular-season title. The Eagles (25-4-4 overall and 16-1-2 in league play) have one game remaining, against Notre Dame (19-12-2, and 8-9-2) on Saturday afternoon. Usually, that isn't decided until the last period of the last game.

The Eagles have clinched first place and will play the lowest remaining seed after the opening round is complete.
