The Bold and the Beautiful is all about family these days. Well, unless your last name is Forrester, then you’re shipped off overseas or forced to take a backseat to anyone bearing the name Logan, Spencer, Fuller, Sharpe, Ronald McDonald, the Muffin Man, etc, etc. Let’s not waste time and dive straight in, shall we?

We pick up with Bonnie and Clyde. That’s what I’ve christened Deacon and Quinn in my head. They are two of the most amoral, unrepentant people on the planet, but they will go to the earth and back for their offspring. They also steal the show whenever they’re on together. Especially when Quinn punctuates her sentences by calling him, “Con Man.” Deacon was all gung ho to do the right thing and turn his “evidence” over to the police, until Quinn changed the game. I agree with you, Deacon, Quinn knows exactly what buttons to press. Just. Like. You. Don’t hate the player; hate the game. I knew she wasn’t going to shoot him. Quinn is crazy, but not stupid. Instead, she offers him a Faustian Bargain.

“What if I could get Brooke for you? The woman you have been pining over for aaaall of these years. Would we be allies then?”

Quinn, you are the Devil and I love it! She’s playing Deacon’s game and she’s doing it so swell that he should be bowing down in awe. Say what you will about her, when it comes to her baby boy’s happiness, she bows down to no one. Deacon has “evidence” of her foul play and she isn’t backing down from her story. I love that she is strong and not willing to take any guff from anyone. Only Quinn would call the person that could potentially send her to jail a moron, tell them off for trying to ruin the life she’s built for herself and her son, and then suggest an alliance in the same breath. When you have Deacon Sharpe scratching his head because he can’t figure you out, you’re good. Good and crazy!

The potential partnership between these two is bound to be good. They understand each other in a way no one else could. When Quinn talked about what they both lacked all their lives, “Closeness, security, family,” she was speaking the Gospel truth. Deacon reigns in Quinn’s crazy and can jest with her. I will admit I snorted laughing when teased her about the whips and chains pics he saw on her computer. I also CRIED laughing when she adopted the Lope line about Wyatt and Hope being robbed of the family they deserved growing up. Feel free to exploit Bill’s anger issues. I, for one, am tired of Bill getting off scot-free from every dastardly deed he does. Please, join forces and give him his comeuppance. I will PAY you.

I, for one, am actually enjoying Hope’s marriage to Wyatt. I’m enjoying the fact that it took Liam 50 bajillion tries to marry Hope and Wyatt nails it on the first try. Anyone else notice that Hope looks INFINITELY happier with Wyatt? I’m not saying this because I am a HOTT fan; I’m saying this to illustrate that Liam and Hope always seem to look and feel happier when they are with other people. Instead of being bored to tears by Lope, we get kisses in the hot tub, kisses in the living room (Until Hope points out that über creepy portrait of Bill in the room!) and Hope getting white girl wasted on champagne and eating chocolates. I don’t see how ANYONE can’t be on board with that.

Bill finally dismounted from Brooke long enough to be a daddy to Liam. I love him for giving Liam the tough love and dose of reality that he needs. Love that Bill keeps putting the image of Hope getting booty with Wyatt in Liam’s head. Love him for saying that Wyatt took advantage of the opportunity that “fate” provided and reminded Liam that that’s who Wyatt is, “And who you’re… not.” Ouch. That has to sting. I hate to tell you this, Liam, but I’m with Bill. Almost doesn’t count and there ARE no do overs. Take this opportunity to grab your freedom and run. Find a woman that doesn’t play games. Find a woman that wants all the same things you do and will actually commit to making them a reality.

What I am NOT okay with is Bill trying to force Liam to go to the party he and Brooke are throwing for Hope and Wyatt. This is a recipe for disaster. Liam is going to look stupid. Whether he sits around all pouty or gets into a fistfight with Wyatt, he’s going to look bad. Bill’s talking about how everyone needs to move forward and uses the Daddy voice to tell Liam he’s not going to mention Paris or Ivy to Hope, which is virtually guaranteeing that Liam WILL tell her. Then he’s going to get his feelings hurt because Hope’s going to stay with Wyatt. I can virtually guarantee it. She’s getting her back blown out by the Other Spencer and she’s not going to want that to come to an end anytime soon. Accept this marriage and move on with what’s left of your manhood and dignity intact.

Will Liam keep all the pictures of Hope and him in the box he packed them up in? Will he act a fool at their party? Will Deacon and Quinn succeed in their scheme to break up Brooke and Bill? Will someone with the last name of Forrester actually have a story line that doesn’t involve someone with the last name of Logan? Will Katie and Ridge actually be on this week? Only time will tell.

As always, stay Bold and keep it Beautiful.
