Barbara Brissette age 77 of Rocky Top passed Thursday, December 24. Barbara’s family will receive her friends on Monday, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm with her funeral service following in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. David Triplett, and Rev. Donald Douglas officiating. Barbara’s interment will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, at the Glen Foust cemetery in Rocky Top. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
Mike Ross, age 64, a resident of the Westel community passed away Wednesday, December 23. Private interment will be held at a later date in the Lingo Cemetery in the Westel community. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood is serving the family of Mr. Mike Ross.
Janet DePersio Sullivan, age 72, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday December 23. Funeral Services will be 11:30 am Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oak Ridge. Gifts in lieu of flowers should be made in Janet’s name to a favorite charity. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral home is serving the Sullivan family.
Barbara Ann Christian Porter, 85 of Jellico, passed away December 15. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oak Ridge Senior Center, PO Box #1, Oak Ridge, TN 37831. A memorial service and communion will be held on Tuesday, at 2:00pm at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 212 N. Tulane, Oak Ridge, TN 37830, with a graveside service and Interment in St. Stephens Memorial Garden. A reception will follow at the church. Arrangements by Weatherford Mortuary.
Anthony Pyles, age 38 of Clinton, passed away Friday, December 25. Anthony’s family will receive his friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, with his funeral service following in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton, with Rev. Chris Jobe officiating. Anthony’s interment will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, at the Glen Foust Cemetery in Rocky Top. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jones Mortuary, 375 N Main Street, Clinton, TN 37716. Conie Franklin Jenkins, Jr., 71, of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday, December 26. Mr. Jenkins was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School, Class of ’63. He was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren; especially watching them play sports. He is survived by son, Justin J. Jenkins and wife Kendra of Louisville, TN; daughter, Nicole J. Jones and husband Brad of Coalfield; sister, Joyce Downs and husband Brad of Murrayville, GA and Terry Oakes and husband Tom of Knoxville; grandchildren, Trevor Bogard and fiancé, Brittany Evans; Chandler Jones, Naomi Jones, Maggie Jenkins, Kaden Jenkins and Shali Finley; great-grandchild, Carter Bogard; many dear friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 5:30 – 7:30pm at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will follow with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating. Family and friends will meet on Thursday at 11 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for a graveside service. The family asks that any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to Calvary Baptist Church (of Oak Ridge) Building Fund. Weatherford Mortuary in charge of the arrangements.
Robert “Bob” Frank Cundiff, age 81 of Rockwood, passed away Sunday, December 27. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Family will receive friends Thursday, at Trinity Baptist Church in Harriman, From 1:00am to 1:00pm. The funeral service will follow with Rev. Tim McMichael officiating. Interment and graveside service will be in Oak Grove Cemetery Rockwood With full Military Honors. In Lieu of flowers, send memorials to Trinity Baptist Church Harriman, TN. Jim Kerns, age 68 of Harriman, passed away on Wednesday, December 16. Mr. Kerns was a U.S. Vietnam Army Veteran. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 12:00-1:00 PM from Evans Mortuary. The Funeral Service will follow from the Chapel with Rev. Charles Kelley officiating. Interment and Burial services will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with full military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard and U.S. Army Honors.
