Trenton Catholic Academy is unique, serving as the Regional Pre K-12 school for the Diocese of Trenton. Housed in one large building on a beautiful, suburban 64 acre campus, the Lower School educates grades PreK-8, and the Upper School is 9-12. Built in 1962 as St. Anthony High School, it was eventually renamed McCorristin Catholic. In 2005, the Diocese consolidated several area parochial grade schools into the building to create Trenton Catholic Academy.
Small by design, TCA faculty can provide the necessary attention to enable the culturally and academically diverse student population to thrive. Academics are the primary focus, and students are also encouraged to participate in some of the various extracurricular activities.
TCA offers an array of high school athletics: B&G soccer, cheerleading, B&G basketball, B&G track & field, baseball and softball. The school has a long, storied history in basketball, although the soccer and track programs have produced team and individual champions over the last few years. The TCA boys basketball program fields teams at the Freshman, JV and varsity levels.
Since 2005, TCA has won numerous league, county, sectional and state basketball titles. In 2010, the TCA boys team won the New Jersey Tournament of Champions. Not to be outdone, the girls team won the TOC the following year. Both teams play grueling schedules to prepare for the postseason tournaments.
TCA never loses sight on priorities for its student/athletes, as it does an excellent job on preparation for life beyond high school. The last 18 basketball player/graduates have gone on to college, 15 of whom played for the school team (see listing).

In addition, the TCA Lower School boys basketball teams have dominated the CYO leagues for years, with many of those players transitioning to the Upper School for high school. TCA routinely graduates 100% of its seniors, with nearly all continuing their education in college. The Class of 2014 averaged nearly $90,000 per graduate in offered scholarship and grant monies.
