SALES MANAGER
(Writing Products)
The Sales Manager will take responsibility for nominated all National Accounts in the Specialist Portfolio allocated to them. He/she will need to develop and implement a tailored sales strategy to achieve incremental distribution in our target accounts, develop relationships with these key accounts to achieve maximum distribution and execute range reviews and implementation to aid achievement of financial targets whilst managing trade marketing budgets along with the Activation Team.
The chosen candidate will work closely with several level colleagues in strategic meetings regarding his/her accounts strategy.
Among the others, the selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Ability and capability to manage and work closely with distributors and wholesalers in various markets and geographies.
Ensure agreed value and volume targets are achieved on all products within each nominated account and develop new business with target accounts
Ensure distribution of existing and new products in line with sales objectives.
Ensure a full promotional program is thoroughly planned, agreed and implemented with all nominated accounts.
Prepare monthly forecasts for all nominated accounts.
Interpret and report competitive activity and recommend short and long term changes to strategy.
Plan and implement range review meetings.
Maintain regular contact with Field Management of nominated major multiples.
Ensure administration is accurate, punctual, effective and legible.
Conduct six monthly account profitability studies on nominated accounts and achieve agreed objectives resulting from these studies.
Market span ranges from Middle East based countries to North, Central and South African markets
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of demonstrated sales experience and performance, working with major accounts or trade marketing within consumer goods industry - a previous experience in the Writing business would represent a strong asset
Fluent in English and Arabic . French is an added value.
Experience working with promotion plans in collaboration with Marketing
Demonstrated interpersonal relationship building and maintenance skills
Strong analytical skills. Understanding and implementation of key performance indicators critical
Ablility to effectively forecast turnover and demand by product
Strong communication and collaboration skills, effective negotiator
